So I'm about 70+ hours in and it's been a blast until today. Now I know rogues aren't supposed to be the most durable class but it's just gotten ridiculous. He's literally getting killed by even the lesser fiends in just 1-2 hits. I haven't had any trouble keeping him alive until I made him a tempest rogue. I'm honestly tempted to reload an old save and make him an assassin instead. Thousand cuts and the flasks aren't nearly as strong for me as others are saying they are. Idk what I'm doing wrong anyone got any tips for me? I'm never slaying any dragons at this rate. My main party is inquisitor=rogue, cassandra=sword and board warrior, blackwall=2 hand tank, and Dorian=Mage.

you have 2 cloaks...i would use them.  Save 1 for when you have pulled a lot of aggro.

Make sure your daggers have heal on kill.

get the threat reduction and "dodge" perks.

You were probably doing this.  You might have changed your playstyle with all of your new skills and are playing too aggressive.  Pulling yourself back a bit, but still using some of your new abilities sounds like all you need to do.  Changing into a tempest didn't "break" your character so it has to be playstyle

Ok i dont know what survival and tanking assassin adds so your solution sesms strange.

Stealth strike reduces cooldowns on potions which makes it very useful. Its also one of the fastest abilities with a knockdown so it can lock a target down with a fire flask until he is dead. 5 stealth strikes tends to do that.
You can definately, without a doubt, can tank shots with an ice flask. The lightning flask similiarly removes any threat of death while active. I like to end it with flank attack when im done so i end in stealth. If your using both those flasks up and still getting hit your doing something terribly wrong
throwing knives can be spammed with the fire flask from a safe distance.
evade is a powerful way to avoid most aoe attacks while flanking.

Have you checked to make sure you don't have a Berserk enchantment (+10% Damage Dealt and 100% damage received) on a piece of equipment? That'll make anyone drop like a rock.

TheGreenLion so man you're absolutely right. I'm still learning the whole crafting armor and weapons thing and I accidentally added that to my armor. I'm such an idiot. But while you all are here, any rogue tips? It was tough to choose between tempest and assassin and idk if I made the right choice

Apparently tempest is the most silly/OP.

You NEED evade, because of the dumb 360 knockdowns that can't be parried. Only real "universal" advice I have for dual dagger rogue, in the sense of it applies no matter your playstyle.

ANd make sure you have no items which give you berserk IE 10%-30% damage and you take 100-300% damage

Not your fault. Someone made a mistake when they made berserk. Those numbers are way off.

Working as intended. Rogue was not meant to faceroll through damage while doing damage. That's more Warrior, however you can up your getting 1-2 shotted to maybe 4-5 shots instead. Masterwork stuff =)

Its really not. A 10% damage buff whilst taking double damage. No. Im certain someone made a mistake. Im saying that because i dont believe the developer responsible was a complete moron.

Berserk does not multiply the damage you take oh no, it instead murders all you resistances into negative making you take A LOT more than just double.

Craft a dagger that gives you 5 guard on hit and another that lessens your stamina usage. Assassin is a powerful spec as long as you know how to use it. You could crit an enemy boss(Nightmare difficulty) above 25k with mark for death, hidden blades, deathblow, then detonate the mark of the assassin. Make sure that you'll detonate it before the mark ends. The Nightmare demon and Corypheus did not stand a chance against me and Cole.

Rogues are squishy, so make sure you're not the feast of the battleground. Leave that position to your tanks.

Edit: Like the others said before me, get evade. That could get you out of the hairiest of enemy skills.
