When I try to import a Shepard profile from me1 the me2 screen is blank.  I have two completed and  "saved" profiles from me1 in the Bioware file in Documents and Settings.  Any help would be very appreciated.

When you Launch ME2 start the ME2 launcher instead of the game if you use steam. From the launcher menu choose configure. From there go to save games and then click the button and choose where your mass effect 1 saved games where and it will copy them lickity split.

do what Chetro said. choose the ME1 save directory and not the saves itself

Ahh..I think I  understand what you mean. before trying to copy ME1 saves, create a ME2 save so the game can create a path to your ME2 saves.

Hasn't worked for me. I have complete save files but the utility that is supposed to copy them does nothing that I can see. I have made an me2 save to create the paths, and attempted to manually copy them to the proper folder (ME1) and that gets me no where either.

What size are your completed game save files? Maybe I don't have the right ones; they are from a couple years ago. I can't find my ME1 disk to reinstall the game either so I can't check if the files are correct. I've been trying to find a save game editor to confirm they are the right ones but haven't been able to find one.
