I believe there is an ancient elf armor for mages, I can't remember where it is though. Emprise would be my guess though.

There are some found in the Exalted Plains. One is a cave behind a magical barrier. One is bought from the Dalish after you've earned enough of their favor to trade with them, but that one is expensive. I have also found another in the elven ruins that you unlock through the war table after doing one of the missions for the Dalish of the Exalted Planes. (the one with Runes/Veil Fire) These were all the elven robes for a mage though, not sure about the scout/warrior stuff.

When he is refering to the Ancient Elven Armors, he is refering to the second final stage of the games where the Elves in the temple, are wearing cool ass armor. Unfortunatly, no the game doesn't have them as an Armor Schematic or Armor (atleast not in either way i could ever find). Keeper Robes are avaliable from Exalted Plains Merchant. The Schematic is from the *Final Dragon in Emprise du Lion. Warrior Armor is RNG (Random Schematic) and Rogue Armor for Elves is at the Hissing Wastes 'Dog Merchant.
The only variation of the Ancient Elf armor that you can play is the Arcane Warrior(?)'s armor you can craft for him i think. In Multiplayer.
Wait for DLC. or Mods.

Don't buy the Robes of the High Keeper from the dalish merchant, because yes that is quite expensive. One of the high dragons drops that item, so better to get it that way!

HA! Look at you, expecting armour variety. This is Inquisition, motherfucker. Here's your trenchcoat, you better love it.
This made my day..
Also, I am sure there are no schematics or armors like the one from said elves available in the game for you to wear, as mentioned before, either DLC or mods but both will still take a while..

They probably left out most armors so they could sell them later in a dlc, now that everyone is desperately looking for more. I wouldn't be surprised, with how EA and Bioware conduct themselves.

You can't acquire a schematic to make the armor of an enigmatic faction that didn't appear until the final 10th of the game, no, but you can acquire schematics for every other faction we've encountered thus far aside from Qunari.

Guess I'm the only one who never found a trench coat ![]()
In fact, my mage ended up just wearing heavy warrior armor crafted with silverite to bypass the restrictions.
