I could listen to James Norton (Cole) for hours. I'm really pleasantly surprised by him. An excellent cast.

The rest is kinda what I expected it to be. For good (Dorian) or for ill (Sera).

Sera. As voice ACTING she has no equals. Ok, Krem shows us again how talented Jennifer Hale is, and all actors are beyond perfection, but Robyn Addison managed to make a concept art of Sera alive, she is very definition of that picture. It's... amazing!

Um when exactly did Cole ever.. sound whiny?

All the time? Maybe i use the wrong word to describe it since English isn't my native language but don't get me wrong, i like Cole, i just couldn't listen to him for hours like i could with Dorian or Solas.

Well, English Female VA is for the most part the only one I chose so far...the american one always makes me...not choosing her after listening to the samples in char-creation...don't know why, just turns me off...

I like Dorian, so cheerful and arrogant, yet in a nice way ^^

Sera, because as a non-native english-speaker I have trouble understanding anything from her beside "butt" and "arrows" ...fart-noises I get too...and I find that very amusing, wondering what she babbles about ..

Cassandra has such a sweet little problem with the "s", I like that...

Not so keen about Blackwall, just...seems so dull, all about him, including his VA. And Cole gets on my nerves, though that might be his text more than his voice...

Standouts: Claudia Black (Morrigan), Kate Mulgrew (Flemeth), Ramon Tikaram (Dorian), Miranda Raison (Cassandra), Greg Ellis (Cullen), Gareth David Lloyd (Solas), Alastair Parker (Blackwall), Indira Varma (Vivienne) and Allegra Clark (Josephine).

I liked pretty much everyone. The only ones I wasn't so keen on were Freddie Prinze Jr as Iron Bull (his accent was a little inconsistent to me) and the lady playing Mother Giselle (can't find her name, and I apologize if she's actually French, but I felt her accent sounded fake and exaggerated).

"'Aaaa I'm a darkspawn!! DUMAT!! DUMAT!!' then hawke killed him"

Varric done some amazing job impersonating him too

When did he say that? I haven't heard it yet or I may have forgotten.

I think the highlight of this game was the exceptional voice acting the actors and actresses really brought the characters to life.  I was sucked into the story because of the VA for Cassandra she is AMAZING!  I hear the shades of fear and sorrow and rage in her voice when she speaks I can't play a character that does not adore her and I was ready to hate her!  Vivienne was also very well done.  I also have to say hats off to the animators for pairing facial expressions to the intonations of the voice actors.  There was this part I was playing through yesterday where Cole Solas and Vivienne were with my inquisitor and Solas told Viv wouldn't you say the same thing about apostates and Vivs lip curls, this tiny twitch nearly imperceptible and I just marveled that such detail was being communicated through not only the dialogue and voice acting but also through the animations of the face.  I felt Cole was also amazing his struggle to be who he is in a world that does not quite fit him wonderful!  Morrigan has matured since DAO and motherhood suits her time has changed her and you can tell this most when listening to the calm delivery of her lines sometimes she seems to choose her words so carefully.

I have several complaints about this game- hairstyles, armor appearance ( I crafted mage and rogue armor for 2 different inquisitors that looked the same WTF!!!) but the voice acting elevates this game somewhere above regular videogames.

The voice actors for Morrigan and Flemeth are by far the best in the DA games for me. I could listen to them talk for hours. xD

I seriously want to just listen to a tape of Ramon Tikaram speaking as Dorian. He just nailed it with Dorian, the voice acting was a major part of why I love that guy so much.

Whoever did Cory did a great job too, though. As others have said, though, the voice acting was just spot on for pretty much everyone in-game.

Overall, everyone's great. I particularly like how Greg Ellis (Cullen) managed to bring his bussiness-like tone to  very heartfelt & moving & earnest at his romance arc. I also love Dorian's & Josie's, Bull's, & Varric. Greg's voice is not as melodic as Steve Valentine's (Alistair) or Gideon Emery (Fenris/Samson), but he's talented.

Varric, you're a treasure... Cory too.

About those francophone (Orlesian) accents, Celene's & Gaspard are pretty good while Mother Gisele's just... too fake?

the only different is something in the side of his/her waist, I prefer DA2's champion armor where different class, different looking

I always thought Morrigans va was excellent. Love that she delivered the epilogue. I like Flemeth as well. In addition to those mentioned above.

I can't really state a favourite because they were all well done.

I think cole is a very well voiced character considering he isn't suppose to be voiced as a typical person in regards to emotions.

Yeah, I thought his VA did a fantastic job. Cole isn't supposed to sound like a normal person, he isn't.

Other mentions go to Dorian, Vivienne, Solas, Morrigan and Varric. Freddie Prinz also did a good job with IB, even if his accent was somewhat inconsistent.

Really the majority of the VA work is great. Mother Giselle is the only one that I disliked because of the forced accent.

David Sterne.  He actually did a lot of the villainous roles in DA2, so I think Cory was originally just another one of those.  I'm glad they brought him back, though.  His Cory in DA2 was haunting, for such a minor role in that game.

About those francophone (Orlesian) accents, Celene's & Gaspard are pretty good while Mother Gisele's just... too fake?

Celene's actually the only actor in the game who really gave me pause.  Her actress has only had three roles, including inquisition.  She seemed to be struggling through her lines.  Her last name is French and her first name could go either way, and i wasn't sure if she was someone who was struggling through a second language or struggling to fake a French accent.

I'm going to listen carefully to Giselle and Celene the next playthrough.  The giveaway for a real French-speaker versus someone doing a French accent is usually syllable stress.  For some reason, TESOL courses hardly ever cover syllable stress, and French tends to have opposite syllable-stress from English ("warDEN" and "darkSPAWN" instead of "WARden" and "DARKspawn"), so it's usually the biggest clue as to who's a native speaker and who's attempting it.

Not always.  Corinne Kempa rarely slips into French intonation.  Stephane Comicard struggles with it, though, and he'll put a different stress on the same word in different sentences.  Interestingly, Kath Soucie who did Marjolaine and Erlina does attempt French syllable stress ("my leliANA"), but like her pronunciation it comes across as forced and heavy and inconsistent.

The voice acting for this game is top notch and it's hard to pick a favorite. Just off the top of my head I'll go with Solas, Dorian and Sera.

I gotta say Alix. I was kind of concerned about her because I wasn't a fan of her acting in dao and daa(although she did/does have a pretty voice). But I think as the inquisitor she did an amazing job.

Other then that I'd say Cassandra's va was quite amazing. Same with Claudia Black and Sera's.

 Yep. Shocking eh?

I like most of the VAs. The ones I avoid listening to are chars Sera and Viv. Nothing to do with the VA themselves but the game chars are not favs so I often relegate them to a corner and hardly engaged them in dialogues as often as the rest.

I so remember meeting Krem for the first time, frowning "I know that voice, I KNOW IT!"
With Samson it was a bit unnerving, first reaction when he spoke was "oh hey Fenris. Why are YOU here?"

Other than that... Claudia Black as Morrigan and Ali Regan as the female inq just get me every time.

I don't know if it's more noticeable when wearing headphones but she talks like she's got a mouthful of saliva. I find myself swallowing every time I hear her. Also, her accent bugs me like how Isolde's accent bothered me. It's too.....overly frenchy.

Leiliana's accent, in contrast, is gorgeous. I could listen to her read the phone book.
