I could listen to James Norton (Cole) for hours. I'm really pleasantly surprised by him. An excellent cast.
I often include Cole in my party because I enjoy listening to everything he has to say. The VA did an excellent job.

I really like Greg Ellis (Cullen). He's really good in Diablo III as Captain Rumford and Brother Egan in KoA: Reckoning as well. I also like Ramon Tikaram (Dorian); his voice is easy to listen to. It's also nice to hear Steve Valentine's voice whenever there's an Alistair cameo.
The bard at the tarven(not sure who that is.), and all of the followers, cory, Flem, Morrigan, Cullien, Jose and think thats about it. Probbky more just what comes to mind.
I really like most of them. Sera and Cole's are great for their characters, they really seem to get into it. Like when Sera starts making one of her weird little jokes and then starts giggling about it, it really feels like she finds it funny. A surprising amount of voice actors sound like they're having to force a laugh when they do it. Meanwhile Cole's gets the full range of panicky, sweet, dangerous, etc. Feels like he really gets the character. Bonus points to both their VAs because Sera and Cole have odd speech patterns.
I was surprised that Jennifer Hale voices Krem, but I think she did a fantastic job. He seems quite dry and snarky on some lines while staying professional, and she made the voice nice and deep too. Makes it rather funny in hindsight when some people complained that femShep's very female voice was 'too manly'.
I adore Sumalee Montano's American Inquisitor, it's definitely my favourite. I just really like the huskiness, and the inflection she puts on certain things. Like when she says 'see you later, Bull', it's got that sort of fond teasing in it that I really like. Makes the Inquisitor feel more like a person and less like a drone mining the companions for info. That said, I like AWR's too, it's very cute and she does the smartass lines wonderfully.
Solas has a great voice for his storytelling, very soothing. There's a slightly odd pattern to his speech too, but I can't quite figure it out. I also like Dorian's, especially the delivery on some of the more sarcastic, flippant lines. I feel like his VO is just staying on the right side of hammy sometimes, really gives a feel for Dorian's vanity and extravagant personality.
Lastly, Cassandra's voice is also fantastic. The emotion in some of her lines, like right in the very first cutscenes about the loss of the Divine, it really got to me. You could feel how devastated she was. Marvellous! Then there's the hilarious delivery of lines like "forget you knew this about me", and how she can sound all tender sometimes despite being pretty intimidating. I don't know, I just really like it when they make the characters feel like real people.
I think all the VA's did an excellent job. Especially Cole's, he nailed him. All the orleasian voices were crap tho.
I thought Bonny Sims' voice was pretty pleasant, as is Leliana's.
My nitpicky view of the different VA.
I don't know if it's more noticeable when wearing headphones but she talks like she's got a mouthful of saliva. I find myself swallowing every time I hear her. Also, her accent bugs me like how Isolde's accent bothered me. It's too.....overly frenchy.
Leiliana's accent, in contrast, is gorgeous. I could listen to her read the phone book.
I play with the Sony Gold headset with 7.1 virtual surround sound and it's like she's spitting in my ears with every word.
But yeah, as others have said, the voice acting in Inquisition is phenomenal. My favorites are Vivi, Sera, Dorian and Cass, but I was also seriously impressed by Cullen and Cole. And of course, Flementh and Morrigan slayed. The scene with them gave me chillllllsss.
As for the Inquisitor, I love the American male VA. At first his voice sounded uncomfortably deep to me, for a human, but then I really got into it and I could not imagine my Inquisitor with a difference voice.
Jon Curry, Jon Curry, and Jon Curry. Seriosuly, I love that voice of the "american" accent inquisitor just to pieces. I actually love all of the inquisitor voices, but I think his is the best. Especially when reading poetry. Swoon...
I love the way Cullen's voice is completely different when he's in a romance with the inquisitor. He has a harsh edge most of the time, and backs it off at just the right moment. Sera's voice is amazing (especially the little snorts, hilarious). And Varric, jeez but that voice is right up there with Michael Ironside in the Splinter Cell games.
I found Sera's VA brilliant, her emotions and laughs sound genuine like she is actually laughing rather than doing it via a script. As per usual Claudia Black's VA is superb and I enjoy F!Inquisitor's British accent, and have been in love with it ever since she voiced Traynor.
I cracked up when i heard female inquisitor "whats going on here" line:) so calm and indifferent as if you see talking darkspawn and grey wardens sacrificing divine every day
Yeah, I think she sounds more upset when that line is repeated later when...I think it's after Dorian's personal quest when Mother Giselle is clucking at him in the Rotunda Tower. The Divine being sacrificed by a bunch of Grey Wardens and a crazy, bizarre-looking darkspawn thing? Meh. It's Tuesday, innit? But a Revered Mother threatening her Tevinter bestie? Lines have been crossed, ser. ![]()
As for favorites? That's so hard! Greg Ellis...again, obviously. xD Jon Curry has been my favorite Inquisitor voice so far. HHP just sounds so surprised half the time. It was very endearing, but not altogether what I was going for. And the poetry! Dear Maker, never again! xD I would still really like to know who voiced Felix and several of the other characters that were relegated to 'Additional Voices' in the credits...that really irks me. Especially when you have people adding voice credits to the wiki with people who weren't even credited in the game. I love it when Gareth David-Lloyd slips into that faint Welsh thing he has going on. And Robyn Addison...she's...'fun,' but her voice is actually something that makes her less irritating for me. James Norton? Also great. The way he and Ramon Tikram rush through the words sometimes is just so fantastic and natural feeling. I appreciate Miranda Raison's ability to keep up with that made up accent for Cassandra. And I was surprised by how...girlish? Cassandra can sound at times. (But I'm not going to pretend I don't know that about her, it's sweet). I was over the moon about Nicholas Boulton. I will gladly proclaim my membership amongst (the apparent minority of) fans who prefer M!Hawke's voice over Jo Wyatt's. It's not that I don't like her's...but that whole husky beleaguered hero is a train I'd rather ride than smart-mouthed, punchy Fem!Hawke (so...chalk that up to player error, perhaps?). Excellent, excellent cast, overall. ![]()
It's a tough choice to choose something other then my Inquisitor, I thought Regan did an outstanding job as Fem Inquisitor.
I have to go with Freddie's performance as Iron Bull, fantastic work.
Setting character aside... man it's really hard to pin down a specific great performance.
I've been fan of Greg Ellis since his work in DAO, not only as Cullen but as several other NPCs as well, including the original Anders in DAA. And considering his performance as Anders, I'm really enjoying Cullen in this game: very serious, played the emotions very well, and his romance scenes were also quite nice.
As far as an all 'round good performance goes, consistent from the first second to the last, I'd have to say Gareth David-Lloyd as Solas. Very close second is Ramon Tikaram as Dorian; he pulled off the duality of playful and serious extremely well and it's a genuine pleasure to listen to his acting.
But as usual for Bioware games, voice casting and voice direction has been top-notch. I've never played another game series where the voice acting has been so superb. Hearing the various followers and NPCs is one thing that significantly adds to the replay value for me.

I think as time goes on we will learn who some of the more significant named NPCs are played by, such as Felix. The last game I eagerly looked at voice credits for was Diablo III (several DA vets in this cast). IMDb took quite a while after release to fully update with various credits. Random other people though? Probably not.
I love it when Gareth David-Lloyd slips into that faint Welsh thing he has going on.
Oh yes... I still find it difficult to believe that Solas is played by whiny, somewhat useless Ianto from Torchwood.

That would be Jennifer Hale, one of the biggest names in voice acting, best known to BioWare fans as female Commander Shepard from Mass Effect
And she's doing a surprisingly good British accent for someone born in Newfoundland and transported to the US.
I could listen to Varric tell his stories for hours. And Cole talk for hours. And Cassandra. And Josey. An- Okay, just. Just everyone. I love all the voice actors.
Morrigan of course.
after her,
Cassandra, Varric and Dorian are the best ones
oh, Solas too
his rage actually freaks me out
Alix Wilton Regan is particularly phenomenal, along with Ramon Tikaram and Gareth David-Lloyd. Huge props to Jennifer Hale, too, because I didn't pick her out at all. Hell, any of the inner circle could read the phone book to me and I wouldn't be mad about it.
On to the bad: I thought the American VAs were just dreadful. Little to no emotion at all in their lines versus the British VAs.
Greg Ellis as Cullen. Have loved him in all the DA games and am extra glad that Anders was recast in DA2 rather than Cullen!

Theres an image I won't forget x)

Well, now that you mention it...ewwwww.
But yeah, try to imagine hearing her speak directly into your ears at full volume with virtual surround sound. Yeah. It's...an experience.
What I find more jarring than her ear-spitting accent is that throughout the game I denied the chosen one bullshit and proclaimed my non-believing ways with every opportunity, and Mother G was like "Fair enough", but then, every time I go to speak to her she greets me with "ERRALD OF HANDRASTE!!!", like she's rubbing it in my face. So rude, that woman. But she took me to church with her impromptu musical number, so I'll give her that.
Krem has an Australian accent, not English.
What makes me laugh is her ultra-feminine sexy catwalk as she's started singing. So funny.Well, now that you mention it...ewwwww.
