Question in the comics with Mae, were there any other interesting tevinter characters that could be companions?

With my luck it will be Sera. ![]()
BioWare, just give me Abelas as an LI for females and all will be forgiven. Well, mostly forgiven.

I'm not sure there will be a returning companion if we go north. Very few would make sense to be there, and the few that do are love interests, who seem to have less chance of coming back as companions because baggage.
Though, that didn't stop Leliana and Morrigan, albeit not companions again, from coming back with major roles. So what do I know.

My money is on Dorian, especially if the game is going north to Tevinter.
I also suspect we have not yet seen the last of Solas and Morrigan.

Lace Harding had better return has a companion and full romance or I am going to be mad!

I don't feel the need for any of them to return as companions unless we get one more game of playing as the inquisitor.
I'm hoping we get to see more of Solas, but I think he's better suited for not being a companion, if he reappears.
With that said, I wouldn't mind if I never saw Morrigan again. Now she's not only a super powerful grew-up-in-the-wilds apostate, 5th Blight veteran, old-god-mother and previous royal court wizard, she can also turn into a dragon and understand all kinds of previously unknown elven secrets since I allowed her to drink from the well. But I suspect she'll be around for several more games.

Returning character are the worst and always end up with something getting retconned so hopefully no one. I don't mind cameos but returning character in big roles always fails to deliver.

Someone put forth a rather convincing argument that it would have to be Cole. Varric gets disqualified for having been in two already. The romance options are out of the running. Vivienne can potentially become the Divine.
That leaves Cole.
Personally I'm hoping they don't do a returning companion for DA4 because, if nothing else, I'm tired of companions being de-leveled to fit, but also I would just like to keep the overlap down to a minimum.
Now, I would be perfectly fine if they have a relatively minor NPC make the jump to DA4 as a companion, like Merrill or Isabela. But I don't want to see a full companion in that slot again.

I think Harding has a high chance of being a companion, due to her popularity. Well, they made Tali a LI.
We could see Varric again, but I don't see any links to a next story. Wouldn't bet on it, unless it involves Bianca's red lyrium stuff. There's potential though.
Solas is certain to appear again, but not as a companion. I think we'll see Dorian too, especially if we see Tevinter, but I don't think he'll be a companion either.

Personally I think Dorian will return not as a companion, but as a prominent NPC instead. He could be an important figure if not the leader of a faction that wishes to change Tevinter through the course of the game, provided of course the game will be set in Tevinter. ![]()

Shale went to Tevinter with Wynne to go back to being an dwarf, but I suppose that failed. She then went Orlais to help Wynne and the mage rebels. Nobody knows were she went after Wynne funeral.
If I recall, it didn't fail because there was mention of her traveling with a dwarf. It would be interesting to see Shale come back though. What would her personality be like? Would she still possess that dry sarcastic humor of hers? A lot of her personality revolved around her being a Golem. I can only imagine how she'd act being a normal dwarf again. She'll probably still hate birds

Now this would be really cool, I approve ![]()
Shale should definitely be a primarily a sword and board warrior, who just happens to be the most overpowered tank in the game ![]()

Some possible choices
The fanatic from val royealux will show up. You know the one who bashes you.
the sister named "..." in the hissing wastes (never did find out what she was)
The dalish woman who needs someone to pluck the elf root growing nearby because she's low on it and can't move from her spot
Fiona who will demonstrate her great intellect by helping the villain in da4 mind control you, because there was "no other choice"
Calpernia who returned from the dead to bring tevinter its true glory. She was harangue the main char in da4 about it.
Any of the brilliant generals in the exalted plains, from the one who trapped herself by turning on magical defenses she knew nuts about to the other one who lost the river garrison and the north, south, east, west, whatever ramparts (you got ramparts, he can lose it)

for returning characters who have been in previous games that would have a right to be in the north are probably dorian, iron bull or fenris due to there history and lifestyles even if bull leaves the qun more for his chargers, varric is a possibility due to being a fan fav.

No, it failed.
Epilogues are only valid until the writers actually get the chance and the desire to revisit those stories, at which points the epilogue is thrown right out the window to make room for whatever tale they wish to tell with more room than an ending slide.

I'm really hoping for lysette, the templer knight we meet at haven, so we could actually have a templar on our team (alistar doesnt count, he didnt do the ritual) and cassandra doesnt have the lyrium addition aspect) a good theme to roll on.
From our companions, NONE, i would love sera but her part has been played, the only ones that make sense are dorian and iron bull, possibly cassandra if we go to her country nevarra. I guess dorian is a certainty due to his evergrowing fanbase and being the creation of gaider, he seemed to be created just to link to tevinter and give us new eyes to them.
Oh YAVANNA, i really wanted to see morigan sister int he game, unkill her and make her a companion,
AND BRING BACK MHAIRI !!! Just make some hocke pocus nonsense that the warden used some experimental blight magic from notes he found to bring her back to live, and she becomes almost ghoul and thats one of the reason he is looking for a cure, his guilty to save the loyal recruit and his order.
*correct Mhairi, mhiris is the elf from DAI
