Which in your opinion do you prefer, or do you use one of each? And if so, which one in which hand?

I just use two dual blade daggers as the best ones are dual blades. Besides i love symmetry and therefore use two of the same kind. Finally the highest damage daggers are dual blades. Do remember damage is the stat you want to pay attention to NOT dps.

If they did, Cole would probably one-shot the rest of the party on a daily basis. Masterwork daggers do scary damage.

I suppose it could be at least intended to be a more situational choice, depending on whether you are fighting one though enemy or whole groups. But you mostly fight groups anyway, even the bosses and some of the dragons call in reinforcements and since you can't switch in combat and aoe daggers seem to be superior anyway...
Another possible drawback would be drawing the attention of other enemies away from your tank but you can always stealth when that happens.

If you compare a regular dagger to a dual bladed-dagger of the same level, the regular dagger does more damage. Put a dual blade dagger in your MH, and a regular dagger in your OH. That way you still get the AOE damage but the high dps from the regular dagger.

Which regular dagger does more damage than dual-bladed daggers? Pretty sure the Hissing Wastes dual-bladed daggers are the best T3 daggers, and the Rogue Schematic dual-blade daggers are the best T2 daggers.

AOE Daggers + Tempest + Frost Flask = Popsicles.

Does anyone else have that weird ending to their dual blade attacks that turns into twin fangs-like animation and knocks your target to the ground if you're flanking? I've noticed it happens quite frequently.

Dual daggers do more damage too though. The best dagger schematics in the game are right there at hissing wastes. Go there, head west, complete a puzzle, and have the best dagger in the game which is dual blade. I had these at level 9, farmed the tier 3 metals in the same area and never switched weapons again for my entire playthrough.

Why pay more attention to damage than dps, is it because armor mitigation? Right now I'm a bit behind everyone just have a level 16 rouge with rib breakers. also sidebar do passives stack like hidden blades on both daggers and armor?
Because ability damage is based on weapon damage.

Yeah, so true. Its really a shame. I found all the focus skills terrible overpowered right as soon as I got them. The game plays better without them.

Not all, i used only Thousand cuts and the one od Necromancer
Sorry i don't remember the name:
Knight enchanters could be good if lasted more, mayne with less rating healing:you don't need 25% heal/s.,and that is for 10s. I would prefer 10% for 25s (same total heal)
Mage Rift is ueless. strongest enemies like dragon will just go out the area.
Assassin....i think it's useless
Champion....can be good but never had the need to use it. It's like a more powerful taunt
Templar. Guard for all..nice,but not OP
Reaver...just like rift mage. If you are facing a mobile enemu this ability is useless. you waste more time to run after the enemy rather than fight.
Artificer....is it good?? it can be,i never used it,but certainly not OP

I'll think about activating some you mentioned for the AI to use. Like I said, I really passed all judgement as soon as I used the rift ability. I go a little crazy with the crafting, and that messes up the game balance enough already.

1. I'm not sure if it's just me but it doesn't cloak everyone
2. Stealth is better if you get the ability which gives instant cool down to stealth
3. Thousand cuts seems more fitting for an assassin
4. Lasts so short
The guardian focus ability for warrior is pretty gd for a one time ability stop all damage
Knight enchanters seems ok but for me no comment on it just a average ability
All others I havnt tried

With decent crit chance, Artificer's Hail of Arrows is really good and yes it too is OP. Not quite Thousand Cuts but still strong.
