during normal fights this isnt THAT much of an issue, but when fighting a dragon it becomes apparent how ridicoulos this is (ps: i have set all characters to follow themselfes but have tried different settings as well)

- Mages keep closing into melee range to the dragon for whatever reason (despite not using abilities that need that close range)

- nobody seems to care if fire(balls) are shot at them

- characters keep staying in burning terrain or run throught it instead of around (c mon?!)

basically, all the npc's play as if their immortal and cannot take damage - this is the thing that makes dragon fights hard, cause all your allies are retarded idiots and you need to babysit every freaking move - with human players, fighting dragson would be easy as hell...

and thats my problem - fights should be challenging because of a GOOD ai of the enemy not because of a horrible ai of your allies...thats what you really need to work on - and the above examples should really not be that hard to fix...its not like were expceting skynet abilities here...

- I agree with your point, but one could argue that mages getting closer to a dragon is a preventative measure for when the Dragon does that Wing-Wind attack that draws you in and damages those not inside the safe zone. Of course, mages remain in melee range in any fight, even if it isn't a dragon sooo.....

- You have to micro this, before a dragon breathe fire (Pay attention to its animations, its pretty obvious when its gonna do something) pause the game, switch to the endangered companion and use a mobility skill... Hopefully you had the foresight to get one. Fade Step, Evade, Charge, etc.

- Yeah, this is just plain dumb. DONT STAND IN THE FIRE

Imagine how awesome it would be if we actually could play DA single player online, with player 2-4 taking control of the other companions while the host controls the Inquisitor. That'd be awesome.

I'd buy that as a DLC, you know.

well yeah....make it into an mmo with a persistant world and a storyline you can experience alone or with friends (making it similar to swtor while the dragon fights are basically the must group content)

i know people hate the term mmo but i would love it...

to your points - your bringing basically up "workarounds" to the issues - im saying these issues shouldnt be there in the first place...im not expecting genius lvl ai - but this is BASIC stuff that has been in games for 10 years +....i play master of magic from time to time - even that game has better ai and its from 1995

That, would have been brilliant.

Similar to Divinity: Original Sin.
