I'm sure there are people out there that like it but I really don't.
I've loved "the Dragon Age theme" for years but now I can't hear it without thinking of that one scene where they all start to sing.
It's way too Skyrim for my liking and I just don't understand why they thought it would be a good idea to give this lyrics other than to try and copy something else from Skyrim.
The Dawn Will Come? More like the Dragonborn comes.

The Dragonborn song had lyrics, but I don't remember seeing anyone sing it in the game? I though it was a good and unique moment in the game.

Oh no, both games can be console or PC - they copied that too. Oh and at least 20 other games for PC I know of have songs with lyrics and singing in game, some of them even EA games. for shame they copied those too LOL.

yeah yeah, ****** take all you like.
What I'm saying is I've never noticed it to have words before.
While I'm at it though, tavern bards and their songs, again with skyrim, there's just too much taken from it.
Jumping up mountains, just like skyrim, no drive to the main story, just like skyrim.
Honestly I think the only thing they've really got right wit hthis game that's an improvement on the last is random loot.

Not saying there weren't "skyrim" elements. I just don't think this was one of them. Origins was released well before dragonborn. Plus the dawn will come is more melodic while dragonborn is more harmonic.

They did..in some cases rather poorly...
There is differences between the songs to be fair. One is a semi-religious dirge, the other a tavern song.

It reminded me more of Pippins song in RotK tbh
The Skyrim songs got so annoying and intrusive after 100 hours of Skyrim that i stealth-killed as many bards as i could, this wasn't the case in DA:I. Same with dragon encounters.

Not sure about chicken and egg issues here, but in DA4 people also need to start dancing randomly like in a Bollywood movie

Trolling about one of the best elements of DAI is rather amusing. ![]()
How about we turn this into a Main Theme Appreciation thread instead?
Personally I was stunned by that scene... one of the best storytelling moments I've seen in gaming. Had to watch it several times... it was just perfect. I particularly loved Leliana and Cullen's reactions. Awesome stuff.

two diffrent songs
Our Hero, our Hero, claims a warrior's heart
I tell you, I tell you, the Dragonborn comes
With a Voice wielding power of the ancient Nord arts
Believe, believe, the Dragonborn comes
It's an end to the evil of all Skyrim's foes
Beware, beware, the Dragonborn comes
For the darkness has passed, and the legend yet grows
You'll know, you'll know, the Dragonborn's come
Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin
Naal ok zin los vahriin
Wah dein vokul mahfaeraak ahst vaal
Ahrk fin norok paal graan
Fod nust hon zindro zaan
Dovahkiin, fah hin kogaan mu draal
and noe for dragon age
Shadows fall
And hope has fled
Steel your heart
The dawn will come
—-
Chorus:
The night is long
And the path is dark
Look to the sky
For one day soon
The dawn will come
—-
The shepherd’s lost
And his home is far
Keep to the stars
The dawn will come
—-
(Chorus)
—-
Bare your blade
And raise it high
Stand your ground
The dawn will come

Skyrim also had fetch quests, crafting material nodes with gathering, and an inventory system. FOR SHAME BIOWARE.
I think you're reaching here, bud.

Fetch quests? Not like DAI fetch quests. I don't remember having to collect wine bottles, or ram meat, or bear claws, or skulls, or warden memories, or, etc. etc. Though in Skyrim you did pick herbs - or you could buy the herbs.
But back to the songs. Show me one - well hell - even ME had bar music. I mean, show me one RPG that doesn't have song?
And I didn't think of Skyrim when all were singing The Dawn Will Come. I thought it was great.
Also, in Skyrim, after you kill Alduin, go to a tavern and listen. There's a different song. Sad in a way too.
