Open world but more shoehorned

Might be me. Love the open world but after playing first part of game and reading comments that the inquisitor has less dialogue freedom with companions and quests

It feels like the developers wanted us to choose the templars, be the herald, do the morally right thing, be forgiving/complimentary , dont free the mages.



My snarky hawk or my warden would have had trouble pleasing this group. Now playing an x carta dwarf and realizing if i dont drink the cool aid im really hurting myself.

I had a great time playing a dwarf Inquisitor who freed the mages and denied being chosen by some non-existent deity at every opportunity. Some companions didn't like that, but others did - and I became friends with almost everyone eventually.

 

Now, if you're mean and rude to your companions and/or to people they like then, no, they won't approve of you. That's pretty much how people work.
