Keep playing it?

The sheer ammount of times I've tried perilous only to be playing with people who must be using lvl 10 or lower items and are not very good is astounding.....

I've had games so bad that literally I was the only person who got all the kills.

He'll your average threatening player has better gear than these people who try to do perilous.

Between those and lobby's filled with afk people it's ruining my fun :(

If ME 3 is any basis for predictions, this will continue to happen throughout the game's life.

Mostly, they're hoping to be carried to better rewards. Probably. Maybe.

I know, right?

Everywhere I look... plebs. F***ing plebs man. You're unfit to loot the gold I deign to smash in your presence.

God should smite them all.

And they should feel bad too.

I'm pretty sure it's lower gold and exp than doing something you are more capable of doing.

I have some pretty damned great gear and I have yet to play Perilous.... intentionally. Because key bug. I'm not going through the challenge only to have my XP go bye bye because I can't finish the match.

I do have one excuse (though I never tried it at perilous yet, but soon I'll), we have to try it once at least, right?
I mean, once I am confident in threatening I'll go and try it with perilous and there is a chance I'll have my face smashed with the challenge and I run back with tails between my legs to the threatening happy that I don't need the perils yet :) But for the players in the room, I'll appear as someone who came to perilous without being ready. So people like me do add to the general feeling of ill-prepared people in the room.

What sort of weapon and armour is enough for perilous btw? Just so I have a general idea before trying myself there.

Look as long as you are level 13 plus and have gear like 10 percent heal on kill,200hp belt and some 18plus weapons. Your fine perilous is not really hard even demon commander is not that bad. Its all about talking to your group and not having people be silly. When we do it we always use door ways to clutter the mobs for aoe we normally have two barrier classes from aw,ele or keeper in the group. Aw make insane tanks using this strat and a keeper can blast heaps of barriers with the party crits. Eles are really good aoe dpsers and firestorm keeps most mobs stuck in the ground also have your ele in the group time his firestorm with the no cooldown proc so he can spam firestorm non stop. Also if you can find a good necro get them in using blizzard with firestorm ensures the group wont get close to you and will take large amounts of dps with walking bomb.

What about alchemists? They can also do a lot of area damage. Sneak in, toss in thousands of bombs and get out. Then lure the mob for the others? Is that valid?

That's why they have a kick button, some people may have a low level selected from a previous game so don't be to quick to kick.

Probably we can find better random players on Threatening than on the other two difficult levels, which makes sense. Threatening lobbies are for the most part a safe bet now. So why would anyone subject oneself to play Perilous with unknown people and likely without effective communication?
Besides, we can't even see what equipment others are using. On ME3MP you could spot a freeloader using low level crap, and you could understandably kick that person. On DAMP, as long as someone has a Banner/Title/Portrait and using a level 16+ Character we might have the wrong impression that they know that they are doing.
