The amount of times I've found myself in a thight spot (physically) and seen energy barrage just bounce of the walls and never hit the target is astounding. At least it *seems* like they never connect and do damage. Enemies that are close are also problematic at times. It looks gorgeous outdoors in large areas though, but fighting in areas with lots of doors, walls and ceilings often makes the spell fizzle. Just make it go more straight to the target. Just a bit. At least when the enemy is close.
