hey all,

I think many like me were very amazed by the eye-candy the trailer armour delivered, shown in the pictures below:

It's seems rather obvious at first:

any prowler/battlemage/battlemaster armour crafted with:

-great bear hide for the black leather

-supposedly silverite for the metal parts

But where it becomes a pain is the cloth. so far only one type offers a way to dye the orange coloured parts, and that's the normal/sturdy/superior battlemage armour.

the 2nd issue is, the actual orange cloth used, because as of now, if I'm not immensely mistaken, the orange cloth show in the trailers is not in the game.

The only cloth that's orange, which I could find, was dragon webbing, but it's awfully reflective, and makes you look like wearing a safety vest into battle. The cloth used in the trailer appears to be using the same pattern as Dales Loden Wool (which is purple), but with an awesome shade of orange.

FYI, orange is my favourite colour, KTM is my favourite motorcycle brand and to top it all I'm Dutch, hence the fetish for orange.

So if anyone can conform that either I'm right, and Bioware uses stuff in trailers we can't get in the actual game (not that much of an issue, but slightly disappointing), or I'm hugely mistaken, and there is some cloth I've somehow never encountered (yay).

thanks in advance, Lama-

There are other cloth textures that you can get with the white items, but you cannot use in your own crafting. For example, there's a pink cloth that I see sometimes that I cannot find anywhere. It's frustrating.

That patterned orange cloth does not seem to be in the game, no. Sorry. :(

This is incorrect. You can colour the cloth parts in the other armour types (prowler and heavy armour) by putting fade-touched cloth item in the masterwork slot.

While not exactly like what's shown on the screenshot you link, Highever Weave has pretty vivid orange'ish red colour that I'd estimate in some lighting can come pretty close.

You can achieve the trailer armor with sturdy(or superior) battlemage armor, great bear hide for the leather, dragon webbing for the cloth to get the orange look on the cloth (although the scarf inside the vest is also orange and not black) and fade-touched silverite if you don't get the silver plates with vanilla. It's not exactly that but very close. You can also use highever weave for a more dark orangish look

The only pink cloth I've seen in the game is the Imperial Vestment Cotton. The downside is that it changes some when used on different items.

You can do it. I currently wear the above on my Mage. Same exact look minus the helm -I use a hood.

T3 Superior Battlemage Armor

T3 Battlemage Armor Arms

T3 Battlemage Armor Legs

Great Bear Hide

Dragon Materials

Fade-Touched Obsidian (Masterwork slot; for the armor parts)

The palms of the Battlemage Armor Arms will also be that same unique orange color while the outside hand is armored and dark, its very pimp.

You can also swap out the Dragon material for Royal Sea Silk (its a slick metallic/silver patterned soft blue that goes perfect with the Great Bear Hide and looks great no matter what zone you're in; wet or dry)
