Not close, but you seem upset enough to create a thread about it...

The only reason to why i promoted my rouge(s) 30 times. And trust me, its paying off. Met people who called me a hacker because the archers dont get me down after 2-3 hits at perilous.

Thank moyes you have restored my faith lol your the kind of people i play with. People keep saying its not worth it but i try to tell them it adds up. While they get one shot on perilous it takes alot more to bring me down thank you. :)

Btw, willpower is magic defense not barrier dmg. You're thinking of magic.

I, personally, can't keep a character @ L20. All that wasted xp.

Thanks for the correction :) but still shows the point. It baffles me like this crazy joe fellow lol refusing to reset makes no sense.

You do understand that they are bringing out higher difficultys. So if you look at perilous and think how much harder they can make it. The way the promotions are done id say for a good reason bud.

I'm with mofo on this one.  You should be promoting as much, as fast as you can.  I do not agree with him that most players are at 25/25/25 by now.  I'm only up to Constitution-28, Cunning-20, Willpower-15 and I don't think I'm behind the curve at all. If you don't think it makes a difference, especially on the higher difficulties then you are fooling yourself.

O.. your Katari is squishy?  What is your constitution? cunning? 10?  Yeah.. no wonder.  You need to promote.

If the person rushing ahead can actually clear those spawns by himself, then what's the problem? The other players can pick up pots and clear treasure rooms while he does and the whole game takes less time overall. It's easy to accuse people of being try-hards, but maybe they just care about efficiency. Food for thought.

33 promotions?

Dear god...

My friend Shibumi has a constitution of 43, cunning of 30, willpower of only 12.  He has the Reaver 250 operation completed banner.  He has pulled the Sulevin Blade 5 times. That was when I last asked him on Saturday morning.

There is no end game how long do you think gear can hold off. Perilous is hard atm wait for the next lot of difficultys to come out remember perilous mobs are only level 12. Really resetting is for thos like me who wish to go on harder difficultys. Games like this have no end game look at me3mp or dota or lol.

Yeah, plus our class armour only goes up to like level 4'ish.

I assume they will open up the goodiebag because right now there is not alot of difference armour rating wise from cloth casters to the heavy armour classes.

30+ promotions sounds wild though, but good on you I say! I'm only at +4 con, since I only really like playing the Templar.

See, your problem is assuming that someone has a level 20 character that they don't wish to reset simply because they are a try-hard. Some people may Youtube guides and might need that class to be level 20 for a day or two because they simple don't have the time to be all pro 1337 like you and grind a class back to level 20 in an hour.

I do, however, frequently promote simply because I am a perfectionist with my builds. If I have one point misspent for a video I'm doing, I have to promote to fix it. That happens a lot to me... *grumblegrumble*bloody Sleeping Powder*grumblegrumble*

The funny thing is that you are an elitist and don't want to play with people that don't play like you. That is quite obnoxious, because Perilous is cake if you have a good team, even with zero promotions. Your justification that you kick people that want to bring a level 20 into, say, a Perilous match is outright rude. As I said, not everyone has perfect gear setups or countless hours to spend into a video game, but still enjoy the difficulty and challenge of Perilous, where the team has to be spot on, and one misstep could mean wiping. That seems pretty fun to me. Endless grinding from 1-20? Not so fun to me.

You have a point but the ones that we remove are the ones who dont reply to us ither via message or mic. So we dont know what there up to so there removed. We prefer to play with people that reset because we prefer not to wipe to show perilous is almost as easy as threating now. Now all we are doing is preparing for the next lot of difficultys there going to release. I am not an elitist i love helping people but only if there willing to reset. Because we normally add them to friends and keep close with the ones we play with. We want everyone at there best for the dlcs makes sense right. We also come from a mmo background mainly wow so i guess i can see how it seems silly.

I try hard but still fail on occasion. Better than not trying at all IMO. It's all about attitude!

I respect someone more for trying hard then sitting back hating on anything and everything.

I think you misunderstand the meaning.

"Try Hard" is a gaming term used to describe someone that goes overboard on skills/equipment for a certain level of difficulty. Like going into Routine with a level 20 that has all the best weapons and accessories. That's what we call a "Try Hard".

The issue is that most of these "Try Hards" go for selfish classes like the Arcane Warrior or Archer and run ahead of everyone else trying to get the best score, because it's a competition... I guess?

It's the COD Syndrome, where your allies are just enemies you can't shoot at this very moment.

And promoting 100 billion times so you're invincible isn't "trying hard"?

Edit - Sorry. I thought I was responding to Mofojokers.
