ACU is a buggy as hell game as well. Why don't you compare DA3 to goat simulator too. ACU can be called goat simulator 2. DA3 can be called goat simulator 3.
ACU was buggy as hell. They since fixed it and and gave compensation in a free game IF you agree not to sue them. Take that as you will, but it was an example of a game being released with MAJOR gameplay flaws and how the bugs in DA: I pale in comparison.
Sorry but I have standards. I want to see writing quality that doesn't make me cringe and quests that aren't copies of Everquest 1 quests, and DA3SP does not deliver.
I am going to agree to disagree. I never played Everquest so your point alludes me. I thought the writing for the characters where entertaining and I generally cared what my companions thought and enjoyed their interactions. If you feel SP didn't deliver than either your have some lofty expectations or you're just very cynical. I don't mean that as an insult, just a point of a difference in opinion.
Many people only got DA3MP only because of how good ME3MP was. I did not pre-order any bioware game on launch after it was purchased by EA except for this one because of how well ME3MP was done. You keep going back to the strawman of "SP is the main attraction", but that is completely irrelevant. The issue at hand is whether or not the people at bioware are being lazy.
Excuse my ignorance but I was unaware Dragon Age: Inquisition's Multiplayer Mode could be obtained separate from the Single Player mode. If you bought Inquisition for the multiplayer, more power to you. Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode was bug ridden at launch and they fixed most of it. Maybe they should have waited until they got DA: I MP ironed out. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell you.
I guess when I go to amazon.com, and search for dragon age 3, and see averaged 2.5-3 star ratings, with over 50% of the negative reviews being negative solely due to the bugs, it doesn't reflect poorly on bioware? As you say. I'm sure EA's incompetent corporate commanders agree.
I guess it's a matter of opinion which resource to a game's quality is more credible: The masses who are comprised of everything jaded elitist, casual games, 13 year olds, and hard core hobbyist or that of "professional" critics who for the most part have praised the game on sites like IGN(9), Gamespot(8), Polygon (9.5), Eurogamer (8), Giant Bomb (8) and the critical praise goes on. As a hardcore hobbyist I think it's a great game and I am assuming the vast majority like me don't typically go online voicing opinions like those individuals that feel opposite about the game.
Hello? Anybody home? Did we all forget that the fix to the DLC is rollback or deleting the DLC? Let me ask myself, how hard was it for me to delete the DLC folders? Hmm? Ok. Let's try another question. How hard is it to post a message so that players can read? Let's see, I have a keyboard, if I press keys on it I can put together sentences regarding the DLC. If I put those sentences into the in-game pop-up (which exists btw), I can show players the sentences! Rollback? Well gee... if the DLC folder is there... it runs.. if it's not there or is renamed... it doesn't run.. well.. how do we make it not run OMG HARD PROGRAMMING!
I get it. You physically want an employee to come on here and tell people "Our DLC is buggy, this is how you delete it from your console/PC." I agree that they could do it. I'm not gonna call them lazy because they don't sticky a topic but if you would like to be that extreme than that's your prerogative. I don't fully know the intricacies of how any sort of update goes from the developers server to the users game data and I don't pretend to. You are making it seem a lot more simple than it may actually be to "put those sentences into the in-game Pop-up" when there are walls like Microsoft and Sony approval that any developer data access Xbox Live and PS Network. On the PC, it could be that simple as updating servers with EA's green light. I don't know, and unless you work in said industry you don't know either.
Keep your mehs to yourself. There are many thousands of people who log into the game these holidays and get screwed over badly when much of the issues could have been easily eliminated or greatly reduced. For every DA3MP player who knows how to revert the DLC, there are several or even dozens of other DA3MP players who do not know to search for fixes online. Even within this forum, there are people unaware of how to remove the DLC and just keep playing it, and players who come here complaining of the problems and making posts and threads about it or looking for solutions, who then have to be manually referred to a thread giving instructions on removing the DLC. At the very least, the thread on how to fix the DLC should have been stickied on the very first day that it was created, and the instructions on it made readily viewable to players, along with warnings that the DLC may be unstable (is unstable).
As some one who is enjoying this game I only hope YOU and everyone else enjoys it as much as I. I tried being sympathetic to you and your plight because I understand your frustrations but this hostile attitude towards me because I think the game is great and the MP issues are 'minor' isn't going to convince me "you're right, I am wrong." I'm still trying to be cordial about our disagreement because believe or not I respect the fact you haven't resorted to childish flaming this whole time. My experience with BioWare's attempt at online multiplayer is limited to Mass Effect 3. It was buggy when I first played it. I didn't get smoothed out until 3 months after release; at least that's when I noticed I didn't get kicked out of every other match. Dragon Age: Inquisition came out Nov 18th. It's been ONE MONTH! And if the DLC has been out since Dec 15th than it has only been out 15 days and 10 of those days no one was at the office to do something about it. The unfortunate truth is the issue isn't going to be fixed the day you want it to be, but when they can do it. And you can say "they can roll back the patch" all you want but that's not going to make them do it any sooner.
Point: It may get fixed in the future and I have confidence it will be but for now, it is what it is. You don't have to respond if you don't want and I am not posting this in an effort to get the last word.
