No need to be hostile.
Firstly, I never said it was a BioWare issue, it was simply an idea since they have a channel where they've uploaded a fair amount of gameplay footage already. Secondly, no one is kicking off thus it is calm.
No hostility intended in my reply.
There were calls for petitions and action earlier in the thread despite the channel being back up.
So a call for calm may not be required for most but I thought the point was worth making.
To help, this is the reply I received from EA when I asked for permission to post content.
I expect it is a generic reply which is why I share it.
It does not replace the need any individual may have to ask permission, but it indicates EA's attitude to their content:
Hello,
EA appreciates the passion that players have for our games, and we’re always excited to see the creativity that comes out of our community. EA doesn’t object to fair uses of video footage or screen shots from publicly released versions of our games, including on YouTube channels which are commercialized. We do reserve the right to address any inappropriate use of our content. Additionally, because many of our games include content that is licensed or may otherwise have usage restrictions, and because of the large volume of inquiries we get from the community on videos, we aren’t able to grant specific approvals or respond to all follow up inquiries. Thanks, and have fun!

I'm confused. You've said twice now that the channel is back up, but I'm still seeing a "taken down" screen.
They took it down, put it back up temporarily, then took it down again and it's been down ever since.
Damn it, this sucks. I hope you get everything sorted out properly. I miss your videos ![]()
Good luck, Fluffy! Ninja hugs to you
And if you need help with anything, just post here, and we'll all help out ASAP... right, guys and gals? ![]()

The channel is not back up, why say this? It really breaks my heart, because I saw your post and rushed back to my channel filled with hope only to see that it is still down.

I don't think talk of petitions or action warrant a request for calm - they seem like reasonable responses to the situation, to me.
And as I understand it, the channel has not been restored, which means the problem is far from resolved.
I wrote to YouTube via Google about my concerns, and said that I feel they need better policies in place regarding the closing of accounts, and the ability to investigate spam reports/complaints.
Naturally, I'm very unlikely to hear anything back about it, but in the past, I have received responses from actual human beings when I've written them, so it would be nice to have an e-mail chain where I can at least ask questions about the issue, like last time.
What the **** is this even? I can't. I just can't. I really just can't even can't. How am I even going to survive without Fluffy's videos? I was just watching through the Solas romance! I literally can't even survive without them. Gosh this is literally too much, my inner white chick is coming out from all this stress ಥ_ಥ

My bad then, sorry for the misunderstanding!

I'm not sure petitions would help, contacts certainly would though, most definitely. Myself and LadyInsanity have put her in contact with the people we contact when we have any copyright problems so hopefully that'll help.

I looked last night to see it was up and repopulated.
I stand corrected.
Your advice to address the matter politely through known channels is of course the right one.
What sorcery is this, Youtube?
YouTube's copyright enforcement system is crap. I was forced to choose between muting the sound of my video or not allowing it to be viewed in Germany, because I used Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival as a soundtrack. But I was never notified for copyright breach for any other gameplay videos. And I don't have a clue about why did they suddenly decided to close FlyffyNinjaLlama's channel, if it existed for quite a long time without any problems.
This is the message I get on the channel:
This account has been suspended due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube's policy against spam, gaming, misleading content, or other Terms of Service violations.
Now, I'm fairly sure it's not misleading content and it does not violate YouTube's policy on gaming. One possibility I can see is YT program enforcing spam rule due to the large amount of videos posted in short time. But the fact that they did not clarify their decision is just absurd.

That suggests to me that CCR's catalogue is more diligently protected than the material used for your other videos, not that YouTube was inconsistent when dealing with you.
That said, it appears sometimes YouTube is inconsistent. Best wishes to Fluffyninjallama!
One would think that if the song is fine in every other country it should be fine in Germany as well. Though I suppose there can be all sorts of complications. 99% of my channel is Mass Effect gameplay videos and I'm fairly sure that Bioware uses the same copyright system for Dragon Age Inquisition. Hopefully this'll get resolved soon, it is one of my favorite YT channels!
Different countries have different laws. In Germany showing blood and gore in video games is controversial/censored, and skeletons are a big no in China, just as couple examples. One would think that if the song is fine in every other country it should be fine in Germany as well.
I'm currently seeing the channel (11:59 AM PST) and playlists/banner etc, but all videos have been deleted. Are they in the process of restoring them again?
Regardless, I was able to subscribe to you, so hopefully this will get sorted.

It looks like it's back again and the videos are slowly returning. I'm so happy but at the same time still worried. The same thing happened yesterday, the channel got up for an hour or so and then they took it down again. Keeping my fingers crossed and not uploading anything for a day or so because yesterday I uploaded 1 video about poor little Schmooples and a moment later my channel got banned 2nd time.
Even if it were a BioWare issue, which I highly doubt it is, it would be completely different departments who would handle something like this than the people who make and fix the games.
You would think though that the community manager might notice the thread and try to help though
That would suck.... Now, we actually have to act like a huge doucebag to see the negative scenes... Crap.
That's the only reason why I watch NinjaLlama/DanaDuchy... I don't want to be so awful to Dorian in a romance that I actually punch him (Talk about a bad relationship...) but I know its possible thanks to them.
Wait, punch Dorian? What? ![]()
Yay! The channel is back!!! I am so happy for you Fluffy!!!!
