Congrats Fluffy. For the benefit of the rest of us, could you confirm whether there's been any word as to why the channel was taken down in the first place? What prompted the action and did you have to do or change anything in order to get things back up? Thanks in advance.

I received no info at all about why, although after the first ban, when I got my channel back again, I noticed that I received 1 Community Guidelines strike for my Sera romance scene (which was deleted) so I thought that was it, even though normally it takes 3 strikes not 1 to take the channel down. But then they banned me 2nd time about an hour later so there must be something more to it. After each ban all I received was a generic message like this:

We'd like to inform you that due to repeated or severe violations of our Community Guidelines your YouTube account FluffyNinjaLlama has been suspended. After review we determined that activity in your account violated our Community Guidelines, which prohibit spam, scams or commercially deceptive content. Please be aware that you are prohibited from accessing, possessing or creating any other YouTube accounts. For more information about account terminations and how our Community Guidelines are enforced, please visit our Help Center.

And when I contacted them after each ban, I received another generic message like this:

Hi there,
After a review of your account, we have confirmed that your YouTube account is not in violation of our Terms of Service. As such, we have unsuspended your account. This means your account is once again active and operational.

No explanation whatsoever.

 

 

Thank the Maker! I was getting worried if this might have turned into one of those 'Let's-ban-this-for-no-reason-what-so-ever' cases. 

Welcome back Fluffy and glad to hear all your videos are safe too. Just remember do the back up file for them this time, we don't want to loose you and your contents again :V

I can hardly back it up.. I have 4,653 videos, it would take ages to download them and I don't even have place to store them. And even if I had them backed up somewhere it would take ages to reupload them, tag them, name them, upload thumbnails. *shudder*

It sounds to me like someone is abusing the automated Youtube reporting system. Maybe someone has a beef with you or is in "competition" with you.

There has been a large banning/deleting of channels recently (many whom I am subbed to) that never come back.  Just as bad as FB with banning people and removing pictures because everything is automated, and no human beings even look at anything.

 

Thought I'd do a little Google researching for you.  I am not sure if any of this will help you in the future, but can't hurt!

So it works and I strongly recommend using it. And it's really awful what's happening on youtube with all those channels being shut down for no reason. I heard about Revan657 and he/she never got the channel back. You may be right, some troll is flagging all the videos and people get automatically banned.

Thank you! ^^ All videos seem to be there, except for Sera romance scene that got deleted because of Community Guidelines strike. Like I mentioned in my previous post, at first I though it was the reason for my channel ban, but then it happened again so it must have been something else/or smth more.

It is really bad.  Some people are saying it's new interns messing up, others are it is some bot program .. another is that people do it to remove the top watched/rated videos so theirs can be put in the lead.

 

Either way YT needs some REAL PEOPLE in it.  Meh

Too many good channels have been lost because of how YT's "crime and punishment" system works and in this case, no ToS violation was committed at all.

Even if the developers at EA are pretty chill, the legal depart at EA probably isn't. That's their job as the legal department.

 

Considering content technically breaking copyright gotta make up at least 80% of youtube's overall traffic, I doubt they'd take down any such videos/users unless legal action demands they do. It hurts their revenue otherwise.
