Hi All. First, this forum is a godsend. Lots of helpful advice so thanks.

I have a several simple questions but I can't find answers to no matter where I looked. Googling hasn't given me much.

So:

1. How does targetting work? Is DAI like a typical MMO where if the attack roll succeeds, the character is hit no matter what? Or does timing come into play?

For example, it seems Line of Sight comes into play for some powers. Sometimes when I target an enemy, I miss because they inadvertently run behind a crate or wagon to block my shot.

Another time, it looked like I dodged an arrow with Fade Step but I can't be sure whether it was because the attack roll failed or is it because I timed Fade Step correctly?

2. Is there a numbers report for combat damage? All the earlier Bioware games you can review the action report to see what hits, what average damage looks like, and so on. I can't find that for DAI.

3. Is there a simpler way to make the group Hold at one position while the main character can draw aggro or bait? Everytime I do the individual character Hold position, they end up following no matter what.

Thanks again!

EDIT:  I found my answer so I'm updating this entry for others to know.

The only way you can position a party member to HOLD position individually is to enter TACTICAL CAMERA and select move to position. Once you select a location, you HAVE TO SELECT THE LOCATION AGAIN, this will change to action from move to position for a character to HOLD HERE ONCE THEY MOVE TO POSITION.

All HOLD positions are cancelled if the controlling character moves too far away from the party. Therefore, you can set ambushes very far away. Thanks all!

1. Pixel to pixel.

3. Edit characters behaviour to follow themselves. Make sure you don't issue any other command after issuing hold.
