I know some people claim to like the look. But I can't believe that they really feel that is an acceptable elf look when Solas and Sera looked so much more.. Normal.

I quit playing DA:I but a real shame that mods had to be made to correct this issue. Bioware should of took some more pride in their work.

How can a fictional race look "normal"? ![]()

But Bioware did manage to make the faces very expressive and with the fantastic character creator, I was able to make a fairly handsome male elf. As a woman, I can be distracted from his other flaws just like in real life.

I hear you, OP. My canon is a human warrior, and I grimaced every time I saw her in the Skyhold PJs because she looks way too skinny and weak for my liking. My intended secondary character was supposed to be an elf and I had braced myself for her being even worse ... but when I saw just how pathetic the elves look, the notion of playing one went right on the garbage pile. I honestly can't stand to look at that half-starved babyteen model, especially when it does the ass-wiggle run that female characters are cursed with.
Hey, this was posted in the Character creator thread - I'll re-post here for those who missed it:
Wow. And not just elves. Thank you. The "athletic" options for female humans and elves are much more palatable than the default models. Bookmarked for whenever I replay the game.

I would just play as an Elven female instead...Better than playing a human, or Dwarf as they make crappy magi-users/thieves...

Why would dwarves make crappy thieves? They're like little 4 foot tall mafia crooks in this game.
I have a harder time playing any kind of Dalish thief... seeing that they're so hung up on everyone stealing their own stuff. I was like that with my Warden too.. like he didn't care much for someone like Pol joining their camp. Or the humans in the beginning. Or Morrigan with Ariane's clan artifacts.

I just started a Nightmare playthrough with a male elf archer. Planning on assasin for RP reasons. He does look like someone you would not want to get into a dispute with, in a dark alley and all that =).

I found that I like the Spoils of the Qunari light armor on my guy, as it gives his arms more definition and possesses certain...advantages that serve as distractions from the occasional inverted joint. About 6-8 of them.

I find the accents are a bit weird with the Elven Inquisitor. The American and English accent just sounds wrong with it lol.

Wait...
Hold a moment...
Do human males get the revealing clothes too?
...
I did not know that. Didn't buy it yet.
Oops..

Haha, yes they do!
The light armor is the one I posted, which shows more of the abs and arms. The heavy armor shows pecs, but covers abs and shoulders.
This thread has screenshots of human Inquisitor in those armors: http://forum.bioware...-of-the-qunari/
(Wow, that person's Inquisitors are very attractive. I should try making a human again soon.)
There are also some Skyhold customizations and a mount.

I dunno. I know a lot about anotomy. And the abs are just wrong. There are several muscles shown that are higher up on a normal body. It looks a lot more realistic on human male and female. Elf? Not so much.

I can't bring myself to play an Elf either - and I wanted to. They are really unattractive IMO and when I RP and I want to RP something totally unlike me - buff and beautiful LOL!
I really, really find the transitions of some characters and some races to be so very odd - Elf to Elf to Elf, Qunari to Qunari to Qunari. The transition of Cullen and Alistair across the three games was nutso - I am they got the essence of Leliana across the games so go figure!
Anyway -I wont miss the Qunari if they want to ignore them, but I really hope they either fix the Elves in this game or the next, Yeesh!

I suppose it fits in with the fidelity of much of the rest of elf anatomy then! ![]()

Well it isn't entirely impossible that the elven m obliqus externus has a serrated ending in the aponeurosis of the rectus.

If the elven musculus obliquus externus had any sense of beauty it would refrain from doing so.
