They probably won't announce anything about it until it's done.  

 

Patches require a ton of testing to make sure it doesn't screw other things up; and then, when it invariably *does* screw something up, that needs to be fixed and tested, etc. It's pretty easy to think you're only a day away from having something finished before something happens that breaks the whole thing and your deadline gets pushed back a week. Which, if you've announced the patch will be ready on X day, and then have to announce you're pushing it back a week because otherwise everyone gets to play with pink troll hair... well, cue the cries of gamers who accuse BioWare of being lazy, incompetent, etc. 

 

It'll be ready when it's ready. They won't release a patch that isn't working, and they won't hang back on releasing a patch that is.

No word on a patch. It'll probably come later in January. Q1 at the very least. I would love to see the introduction of more unique weapons/armor.

No idea, we'll probably hear something from Bioware on the 5th or 6th as an Update.

 

My prediction will be late January for the patch and hopefully it doesn't cause more issues.

If you are PC player don't load patch. To do that I think you have to open Origin in offline mode and/or disable auto-updates. At least heard something like this, I'm not PC player myself. Maybe will work for consoles too if they are unconnected from internet, idk.
