This is the thread where you discuss life's questions in a philosophical manner. For example..

I generally approach life as a modern nominalist, altho' Kierkegaard has some valid points. Of course, he wasn't systematic in the least.

One of life's little mysteries is why so many of the best critics of modern thought and trends are Danes. Also why Danes have much better senses of humour than just about any other Germanic nation. Only the Dutch come close.

Of course the Brits are funnier than everyone, but are they really Germanic? The English language itself is an unholy amalgam of every other neighbouring language with some assorted sordid far away languages thrown in for flavour.

Because it was all part of her dastardly plan to lure Prince Charming into a committed relationship. You know Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother are co-conspirators, right?

I confess, i'm a bit of a nihilist, and I suffer from extreme apathy because of it.

Apathy is powerful crippling. It's one thing to be smart, it's another to be smart and ambitious, and it's quite another to be smart and just not care.

PSA: Fight apathy. Enemy: Apathy. EA.

Unity's anti-theistic bullsh*t was annoying, but outside of that I always enjoy each game's take on that creed.

I haven't played Unity yet. And to be honest, Not planning to do so. Though to me, It means that people over-value certain stuff that restricts their minds and imagination. So when you stop treating life as constant and start treating it as a variable, Everything is possible. But that's just my interpretation.

"Always wear underwear."

"Semper ubi sub ubi" means "Always where underwear"? Hmmm...

"Semper ubi sub ubi" means "Always where under where."

Somehow, I don't think the drunken university students who are typically known for quoting it are sticklers for correct translation. smiley_innocent.gif

Honest truth, I channel all my anger into random people and hate them. Do that mean I have a mental illness because something aint right?

Probably.

But I think that includes about... 50% of human beings. At least, on the internet, it does.
