But the phrases were not presented in the context of Assassin Creed. They were presented in a thread called "The Philosophy Thread".
I apologize to Leo8Skylar if he took offense, and I might have been mistaken about his point of posting them. I assumed he was looking for reactions, searching for a general meaning to the phrases. And my answer to that was no, there isn't any.
Ah. I think he/she was trying to reference AC.

The only real crime for those of superlative intellect and great prowess is to allow one's self to become shackled by mediocrity. The crime is to let your grasp be less than your reach. To aim low. - Fabius Vile

"The world's a mean place. It's unfair, then it's fair. It's hateful, then it's loving. It's a very peculiar place on philosophical and metaphysical and religious levels." - Tim Allen
"I've always felt like we're all human beings and we're all basically given the tools to make whatever choices we want to make. How we treat other people. How we treat ourselves. Just the whole philosophy of that and the philosophical logic of that is that we're all capable of great acts of evil, and we're all capable of great acts of good." - Chris Bauer
