Recently I have been asked to make a separate non-overriding tileset copy of the Gothic Gardens expanded Gothic Estates (both use the GG prefix)

Unfortunately the NWNTilesetDuplicator 0.3 returns an error message "Prefix Must be 5 letters" were the desired change is from "GG" to "GE"

Does anyone have any suggestions how to duplicate it?

How about just using a text editor to replace the GG's with GE in the models, wok, and set files? You still have to manually change the palette entries, but I don't know how many groups and features that tileset has... If there aren't too many, it shouldn't be bad. Bulk Rename Utility or something similar could easily change all the file names as well.

Worst case scenario is to use NW Explorer to convert mdls to ascii text, rename all asset files, and change each reference one line at a time (or with notepads find/replace)

And TY, yes, any/all workload management tips to expedite the process are defiantly appreciated...

Ug, that sucks - I just took a look.  I saw something similar in CTP babylon recently when renaming it to try out a couple texture ideas;  it had about 10 different 5 character prefixes.

So, I renamed chunks of the tileset, one prefix variant at a time, using the same tool you're using.  I didn't have any underscores to contend with, though.  FYI, I just tried the tool and the error message is not precise: it may work for a 5 character prefix, rather than a 5 letter prefix.  (It does handle numbers, too) so I suppose you can try this:

1) rename gg_a0* to ge_a0*

2) rename gg_b0* to ge_b0*

3) rename gg_c0* to ge_c0*

so on and so forth until you've covered everything.   You may be able to do a partial reskin that reuses some/most resources and only renames the chunks you need renamed, if that's interesting.  It depends what you're doing.

The above util is probably better than mine (Mass Model Renamer). If for some reason you go with mine, it is essential that you read the included readme/manual.
