or simply we do not care that much, it would be great if they were more attractive? yes of course, I would like them to be more beautiful in future games? absolutely, but at the end of the day is only a game.

It is only a game but have you made that point in the thread complaining about tragic love endings for women or the Inquisitors jammies?

This isn't even really going to change anything, this is more about discussion to see how others thought without the usual attacks and shaming, ME4 has a different team and DA4 if there is one is too far off for me to care much about changes to that

Because she is. If this not help you, you will never understand. Her face shape and symmetry is perfect. Cassandra looks like she was hit in the face and I don't mean scar.

Whoever that is needs to increase his graphics settings.  Cass's features look completely blurry, and Leilana barely has any eyebrows. Her lips look like they're pasted on, too.

if I were to it, I probably would be called misogynist, sexist, and strangely of homophobe, straight man privileged. not for all, but a few.

but yes posts like this are for informing the devs that some of us would like that LI a little more attractive.

If you think THAT'S bad, you should see the graphics we have to put up with as old gen players. I WISH I had that graphic quality...

The picture above doesn't represent optimal graphics either.

We can't even get an agreement on WHO is conventionally attractive. That says enough.

Sure you can or else people wouldn't have been able to complain the last set of characters were conventionally attractive.  Other than Dorian's mustache, he is.  In Dragon Age: Origins, Anora, Alastair and Cullen were, in Dragon Age II: Anders and Cullen were and Hawke.

What about Isabella and Bethany in DA2, were they not conventionally attractive?

I am talking about this thread. There was no consensus on who is conventionally attractive.

Personally I thought all female romances looked great. Even Sera, though she is annoying which makes her unattractive personality wise. But hey what do I know, I'm a supreme Jack fan I probably have bad taste anyway ;)

I have a good number of likes to specific comments that say otherwise.

There have been comments from people who have little interest in romancing females that say there appearance is fine, yes there appearance is fine, none of them are Quasimodo but none of them are the sort of women that many consider appealing love interests.

I don't tell women or gay men what they should find attractive in men.

This, Josephine is worst Disney Bioware romance in DA(feel short, and boring). Cass is good for teasing with Varric romance I don't know. Warrior with bad romance fetish. And you right. We don't have topics how DA and DA2 romances are bad, but we have a lot topics how DA3 female romances are bad.

Games are escapism, yeah. But I guess it depends on what you're trying to escape from. I'm not trying to escape from not everyone in my life being a supermodel, myself. Escaping from the meaninglessness of my own life is quite enough for me.

Isn't that at least one of the reasons game avatars exist?  To be the person you wish you were?

They removed healing because it offends insurance adjusters.

Loads of people criticised the romance options in DA2. There were plenty of people complaining about having to choose between a mage fanatic, an anti-mage fanatic or the Chantry guy who wouldn't put out, or calling Isabela nasty names, or complaining that Merrill was stupid/childish/a blood mage. I mean, I liked all five romances, but it's just not true to say that nobody hated them.

People may not have complained about the DAO options as much, but there were certainly people who didn't like their choices there. (Especially people who wanted more same-sex options, which is a complaint that I think was entirely fair. Fortunately the series has moved on from sticking gay and lesbian PCs with only one possibility.)

That has nothing to do with looks, character personality is a lot more nuanced

Fortunate is a matter of perspective, it is neither good or bad in my view

Your'e probably right, but I didn't buy this game for its romance options and no one should.

Anyone that complains to much about the "lousy" romance options can Google adult anime (which I just did before this post) and they will find tons of adult stuff to buy, that I'm sure will satisfy the most demanding individual.

This game is all about the Lore of Dragon Age as it must be. The "romance" part are just crumbs anyway...with dialogue and scenes diluted so much that hardly meet expectations... hence the complaints.

I'd rather have the Bio team concentrate on the Lore and story elements than giving us a large canvas with faded colours.

Well, the guy said Anora, Alistair, Cullen, Anders and Hawke were conventionally attractive... uh. You know, thinking about it... if you make Hawke blonde, that suddendly gets an aryan vibe. -.-

I liked both Isabella and Merrill, they are both awesome. Both felt believeable because neither was the perfect ideal people seem to expect here.

There's plenty of attractive male and female characters throughout the game in my opinion. The ability to adjust the Inquisitor's body type would be brilliant though I suppose that would have made character customisation even more complex which in turn is a double edged sword. It already took me two hours to design my Inquisitor!

Erm. I buy Dragon Age mainly for the storytelling and romances are a huge part of it for me. It's what I like.

"Adult anime" usually means anime porn and I hope you realize that is NOT the same as romance. I should hope you don't, anyway. The vast majority of that genre is geared toward male wish fulfillment. Certainly not something that I, a female romance fan who thinks Pride and Prejudice is the best romance ever, would really find romantic fulfillment in.

That said, I do think lore and storytelling are more important than romances in Dragon Age games and should be the focus. We are in agreement there.

Isn't that at least one of the reasons game avatars exist?  To be the person you wish you were?

It can be, sure. Personally, I lack the patience and the desire to really work at coming up with a very attractive avatar, though on occasion I'll stumble into one. But YMMV, of course. Anyway, I was talking about NPCs rather than the PC.

armor design, different types of bodies having mean having to make the meshes and textures to armor several times.

I think they removed desire demons so that people would not be offended.  Seeing a voluptous pruple woman who talks sort of slutty and walks around practically naked might offend some people.

To be honest I think it was a bad move though. Desire demons were the best of the lot, they would seduce people, not just with sex, but with power or anything else they wanted.  This made them more alluring, and more dangerous, than the rest.

Anime porn?

If you do google adult anime you will fine the list (tv series mostly) classified as adult because of political machinations, gore and violence, tragic love stories, some sexual suggestions.

Basilisk

Black Lagoon

Berserk

Cat Soup
