I admit I tend to compulsively save my games before every potentially significant encounter / conversation, just in case I might want to come back to this later, but when I was suddenly told that the game only allows a max nr of 250 saves *across all characters* I almost cried.

Does anyone know if there's a way around this? (Apart from having less saved games. I know that would be the easiest solution, but I've always played this way. Don't want to change now.)

You could archive your save games. Go find the folder where they're stored and move them. When you want to use them again, put them back.

The save limit is idiotic.

I'm a pretty anal retentive tier-saver, but I don't think I could hit 250 saves with a game like DA:I.

With Skyrim, on the other hand... I had to periodically delete saves all the time.

There are only 50 saves across all play throughs on Xbox One.

In all honesty the sentiment 'I might reload later' could be similar to the desire to put weapons you will never use again in a chest.

But if that's how you feel I'm not knocking it.

I run a play through on 3 or 4 hard saves as the auto-save and milestones are pretty effective.

There's simply no reason to limit the saves. Even if you're using EA's cloud save, the cost of cloud storage is basically zero.

I've already gone past 250 saves the first week, archiving is the way to go.

Edit: it would help if we could label the saves that way I would know which ones i could safely delete.

Thanks! Archiving it is then :)

Does anyone know why we are limited in the number of saves? PC users can just create a separate folder, but Xbone users only get 50 saves! I had to create an entirely new Xbox Live profile to be able to make more characters.

As someone who compulsively saved and retitled saves (I have 100+ save files on my canon DA2 playthrough), I feel your pain. I wish I could have a max of 200 across all playthroughs. With the PS4, I only have 50.  :crying: It's a surprisingly difficult adjustment.

Yeah I hate this! 50 saves on the xbone is just not nearly enough. It's like the 8 character limit for DA:O (and each DLC plus awakening counted as one separate character ugh) where I had to make dummy gamer profiles to make more characters, but in DA:I the dummy profiles can't connect to the keep/servers for some reason so I can't even import a new world state (and I want to import them aaaaalll) in each new game :( what's the reason for the restriction anyway? If it's supposedly to save us memory, I can manage my own freaking memory BioWare and DA:I is the ONLY game I have for the Xbone so it's not exactly in danger of filling up. I don't get it and BW is the only company I've run into this arbitrary restriction with <_<
