Like the title above, I was wondering if one is better to do before the other? I was leaning to wicked eyes and wicked hearts first because I thought it would be cool to have Morrigan around at skyhold for the here lies the abyss mission.

You can do them in either order, so do whichever you like first. If your world state has Warden Alistair who fathered the God Baby then doing the Wicked... first may give you small scene involving him and Morrigan, as a bonus.

Here Lies The Abyss makes sense to me to precede Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, given Hawke's involvement, how that gets kicked off by reaching Skyhold and Hawke capable of meeting the Inquisitor there pretty much as soon as the cutscene ends. Just my personal taste.

Do you know if you get any dialogue from Morrigan if she is at skyhold after the here lies the abyss mission that you wouldn't get otherwise?

Nope.

I think it doesn't matter which you do first. The only exception I'd say is if you are doing a Cullen romance pt because imo things make more sense and fit better with Ball followed by Here Lies the Abyss.

Any idea if you get a scene if you have Warden Loghain who fathered the God Baby?

I ended up doing reverse order this playthrough, so now I'm dreadfully curious what I may have missed.

I do the Warden mission before the Ball it seems more urgent, want to get them sorted out before I put on my dancing shoes.

Both makes sense.

You can headcanon that doing Wicked Hearts first earns you favors in Orlais and whoever is ruling helps a bit your Inquisition army moving across the country to attack Adamant Fortress (they provide siege specialists and equipment if I recall). And as said above, you get Morrigan early and you can have a nice scene with a Warden Alistair who fathered the OGB.

Or simply do Here Lies The Abyss first because one can consider it's an urgent matter.

Regarding loot, I can't remember which quest gives the more schematics though.

It's easy to headcanon the ball being in a month or something so you have time to investigate the Wardens and capture some Keeps.

Yes, there's equivalent with Loghain in that scenario, if I remember what I read/saw right.

If it helps you any, it's nothing that big:

Really? People saw the Grey Warden problem more urgent than stopping the assassination of Celene and Cory getting an army of demons? I always do the ball first it just seems way more important and urgent than the Grey Wardens not that it matters which is done first.

And honestly I'm sick of Grey Wardens. I mean after origins and awakening and DA2 at this point idc what happens to them. It seems no matter what you do or where you go in DA there's something about Grey Wardens somewhere. I would like to play one DA game with little to no mention of their order, but that's probably not gonna happen.

But even tho I'm sick of them I felt extremely sad when Morrigan said the ancient order is on the brink of disappearing forever. :'(

I think Cory gets the army of demons from the Grey Wardens, not the ball. All the Grey Wardens are binding demons, right? Supposedly in order to send them down the Deep Roads, but actually... not.

I just did Wicked first the first time through because I thought it would help me maneuver in Orlais if I settled the country politically to my favor. I mean, Adamant does see you marching a big @ss army across the entire nation. You can make the argument that the chaos of the civil war would help you do that, but it would also not earn you any goodwill with whomever you put on the throne after because you clearly took advantage of their weakness to disregard their authority.

What about if I wanna dance with Cassandra? I heard that she becomes a romance after either wicked or abyss. That her companion quest promise of destruction is available after doing one (wicked or Abyss). Do I still get to dance with Cass at the ball if I haven't done Promise of destruction?
