How do I get my companions to use them?  

 

I've crafted some grenades and added them to one of Sera's potion slots, but I don't think she has ever used them when controlled by AI.  Is there a skill or tactic you need to add?

I've seen Sera use Jar of Bees, but it seems completely up to how the AI is programmed to use its abilities. There is nothing for us to set because the AI has been completely gutted...er, streamlined.

 

I just don't bother giving the companions offensive grenades and have them carry around healing mist as extra healing items. They would more likely just waste the grenades so they would not have them at a crucial moment. However, I don't play nightmare so this may not be optimal for survival in that mode.

 

I do love though that the first time I took grenades to fight a dragon my Inquisitor took careful aim and threw 3 straight grenades over its back and into a mountain side!
