Is there somewhere that sells good leather or somewhere you can farm T2 or T3 leather easily?

 

I seem to do fine gathering herbs, metal and cloth but not leather

Depends what attribute you want.

Snoufleur are running all over the place in Emprise du lion and the Exalted plains..
Great bears are all over the place in the emerald graves.. can also get their hide from Gather Leather when sending lelliana
Craggy skin from gurguts and lurkers in the hissing wastes
Gurn hide, from gurns, hissing wastes
Wyvern scales from well.. wyverns in western approach, exalted plains and crestwood
Lurker scales from lurkers in the hissing wastes

There is a war table op: "gather leather" at skyhold. It is repeatable and only takes about 10 minutes. Send Leliana and she comes back with 6 Great Bear Hides. Which I believe is T3. It's awesome and probably faster than farming.

Yup each keep you take unlocks new repeatable missions. Crestwood keep gives gather herbs and leliana gets you royal elfroot, gather metals from western approach and with leliana you get everite.
