Well, while I'm waiting for the hour long steam decrypt...

Where do I go to recruit Legion? I'd like to have him as early as possible.
Feel free to turn this into a general impressions topic for the character afterwards.

I think it's the last one you'll pick up (or one of the last). During a storyline mission. He does have his own quest though.

Just for kicks, I had Tali on that mission... in the cutscene she was the one carrying him, which I found very amusing.

What I'm really looking forward to is taking him to the Citadel for a stroll. I bet no one's going to react, but that would actually be priceless.

Oh is there a set recruit order order this time around? So I just kind of... follow the dotted lines until I get to Legion?

geth. in the citadel. THIS IS MADNESS! that's exacly why i said he can't possibly be a squady... how can shepard interact with ppl, if his first sentence is: "don't mind the geth..."

What's awesome is when you bring Legion to the migrant fleet.

People flip a **** over it

^ Exactly. I like to provoke NPCs like that. It's a pity they don't really react, because I went to Tuchanka with Garrus and Mordin as squad members. I'd be probably fighting half the krogan population in minutes. And, in the other case, cause widespread panic in the Citadel.

Medet, it's not an "order", strictly speaking. You recruit a couple first, then the illusive Man sends another bunch of dossiers your way, and at a certain mission (which is pretty hard by the way) you get Legion. I had all other squaddies by that time, but I kinda rushed on that playthrough.

****Spoiler*****

The only time I found Legion to make a huge difference in dialog etc. was when I brought him with me on the flotilla, needless to say the Quarians were not impressed.

Oh. My. God.
How didn't I think of it earlier! The ultimate provocation.
Thank you for the heads up. Now excuse me while I go giggle madly in anticipation of this moment...
Does that prevent you from convincing them to drop charges against Tali though? I wouldn't want that.

Nope, it doesn't really affect anything other then some dialog when you board and when you talk to the judges. But the end result does not seem to change

****Spoiler RE: Geth*****

If you've played through you know that you have not been fighting geth all this time but heretics, as you probably know the quarian judges are divded between going to war with the geth and making peace, having legion with you allows you to delve a bit more into whether the geth would accept peace, it doesn't seem to have much impact on ME2 but ME3, who knows??

Yes, I better have him with me. My thanks again for suggesting it. I'll cause quite a stir.

I actually did the Tali mission before I got Legion, so I was not able to take him along. What does he (it? they?) say about the Geth accepting peace?

Yeah I'm bringing Legion with me on my second playthrough. I actually didn't follow the ME 2 spoilerfest that they call promotion so I didn't know Legion was a recruitable character, so I was in glee when I thought he was a possible member.

If you speak to Captain Anderson (If you selected him) he mentions why no trouble has arisen when you walk around with Legion, just speak to him about the war with the geth and he will mention a one liner informing why Legion hasn't caused a 'stampede'
