So, Bioware, where is the patch that gives us our armor in Skyhold?

...because this is really the game's most visible flaw that affects everyone. That our Inquisitors walk around severely underdressed is an immersion-breaker of the first order. I can't make good screenshots in Skyhold at all, and that sucks.

The Inquisitor shows up in her armor in Haven, including the cutscenses. Why doesn't that work in Skyhold? I know there's a cheat that makes it so, but that's a hassle to use. This bug - and regardless of the fact that the tweet that said it was one was deleted, I consider this one - needs to be fixed ASAP.

Yeah, I'm sure that's going to get top priority right now over the bugs that are causing performance issues or crashing.

Forget people who can't play the game right now. My Inquisitior needs to look fashionable.

Even when you're in Haven, once you go to the war room, you're ready to be tucked into bed. Does the outfit stink? Yes. But there are more pressing matters to patch up before this will even be addressed.

That patch is probably right next to the DA2 patch that lets Hawke walk around home with armor on.

The thing is, if CheatEngine can do it, this should be a rather simple fix.

@AlanC9:

It is a non-issue in DA2 since Hawke is in her own quarters. Meanwhile, the Skyhold outfit would be appropriate in the Inquisitor's private quarters, but nowhere else in Skyhold.

Where's the patch that eliminates the stuttering in the cutscenes?

If I had a dollar every time somebody told me that a programming fix "should be rather simple" when it wasn't I could probably buy my own island in the Caribbean.

Although as I sarcastically alluded to before, it's doubtful that this is a high priority issue right now since it's not literally game breaking.

Sounds like something Vivienne would say:

So, Bioware, where is the anything lately, you know. considering that a month ago or more you said this:

http://blog.bioware....for-dragon-age/

If you guys all buggered off for a long, "well-deserved" break (it's not my "Game of the Year", that's for sure.. so you didn't deliver yet what you claim you did), it would have been nice to be up-front about that, rather than force people to steam and simmer the entire holiday season.

At worst, you have no intention of delivering on the above communication at all. Only time will tell.

Up tp a point, it's a matter of perception. I don't know how frequent these other problems are for other players. I get a CTD about every ten hours and a five-second cutscene microstutter with the same frequency. Those are really no big thing for me. Meanwhile, I have to look at the pyjamas almost all the time. Well OK, perhaps "only" the 15% of the game I spend in Skyhold...

Having said that, note that I didn't ask for exclusive attention for this problem.

I still don't know why people call those clothes PJ's. I certainly wouldn't want to be wearing something that tight in bed (unless it was for other non-sleeping purposes), never mind all the metal bits. I agree it looks a bit rubbish, but PJ's they are not.

Now if they used a variation like the Apprentice Coat, with some colour in it, that would probably be OK.

They're on holiday and having a well-deserved break. I'm sure they'll be hard at work to get those promised patches and features out when they return.

I need this so bad, but I doubt they will change it. They did say there was supposed to be a "special outfit" for Skyhold so the PJs are intentional. I hate them so much. Aside from being plain ugly, they highlight my female characters' spaztic noodle spine, my male elves tiny shoulders and broken arms, and clip through my Qunari's face. :crying:

The only perception that really matters in this case is BioWare's, since they're doing the patching.

Although when you get down to it this "bug" doesn't affect game performance and it doesn't cause any major visual glitches. It's simply an outfit that some people don't like the look of.

It's very likely that it wont be considered as important as framerate issues, crashing, stuttering during cutscenes, pretty much half of the MP mode, etc.

That's assuming that BioWare even considers it something that needs fixing in the first place, which they may not. You considering it a bug doesn't mean anything.

Hopefully. I don't begrudge them their well-deserved break btw.. I'm just afraid they'll never get around to fixing this.

I like it. The colour is horrid. But I like the design.

The design is ok as such, but for your private quarters, not for an outfit with a representative function, as it would need to be for your Inquisitor's official outfit at their "capital". Almost any of the armors would do better than this. The formal outfit of the Orlesian ball isn't exactly impressive but that, too, would be infinitely better than this placeholder outfit we've got now.

They clearly didn't plan on this being the "casual" outfit. If you look at the Inquisition's concept art, there are a couple of uniform concepts which look like the PJs were a base upon which to build.

Unsatisfactory. What do you do with those Skyhold dialogue scenes that need a non-representative outfit - for instance the romance scenes? Also, does this CheatEngine mod that enables wearing your armor in Skyhold affect the dialogue scenes in the first place? If not, what about those where you wouldn't want to wear the PJs?

I disagree. I think a modest and functional outfit is far better than anything. It's the most audacious display of power.
