Hello, sorry for trouble you guys, i'm 20 hours in the game and I have some problems on choosing the best equipment.

Take a look at the picture below:

i need to choose between Wrath of Lovias (equipped) and Magister Fire Staff; looking at the Core Stats the Magister is slightly better

in Damage (a think is Damage) but it does not have the +5 Magic and +2 Willpower of the Wrath of Lovias. Does the 52 DPS against 44 compensates the Magic and Willpower loss?

I would choose the Lovias, is this the best decision?

This one is an example, during the game I encountered similar situations and I suspect it will happen again.

I'd use them both to be honest, during hinterlands, A fire staff is better as most units there are resistant if not immune to cold damage.. the exception being the odd rage demon and bandits who are weak to lightning.. heavy armor..metal.. conduction and all that..

It is all situational really. Personally if you were to go by stats alone, id say the fire staff, higher base damage means more damage for your abilities.

Fire Staff for sure. The Extra proc for Immolate can be devastating. Especially with combo+energy barrage.
In staves, i look for special on hit trigger spells, and determine how valuable it is.

IMO, more damage not only from DPS, but also from 10% Chance to Immolate at 50%? Weapon Power. Its not a 25 damage immolate. Its stronger then that, (pretty sure. So Magister Fire and Lightning Staves are nice.

Either one works and you will likely replace it soon if you are 20 hours in so, but as for the best of the 2 the fire staff is better.

I'l will equip the Fire Staff then and keep the Lovias around in case it come useful.
