While I share many of the main criticisms as the other posters (less side-quests, more core story, pc controls, etc), I just want to share what I love about this game so that Bioware knows that this is something they should keep doing.
1) The environments. Wow. I don't play that many games, but I really enjoy the graphics in DAI. Every map has its own unique characteristic that doesn't only aim at beauty. It is clear to me that a lot of effort was put in this area.
2) Party banter and general dialogue. I love how each character have their unique personality which includes both "strengths" and "flaws." I especially love each character's perspectives on everything from religion to politics to general life philosophy. Some of the banter debates make you think about real life issues and how there really is no simple solution to anything. Maybe it's because I am Asian American, but I love the Solas and Iron Bull debates about the importance of collective well-being vs. individual rights and freedoms. It's one of those things that I find hard to balance in my own life when I have to merge the values of my family vs. that of the American culture.
3) I love the new crafting system with all the options. It would be even better if there were more armor schematics and if you can use textures and colors of tier 1 items without penalty when making tier 3 armor/weapons.
4) I love the Solas romance (and Solas himself). Please give us a follow-up dlc/expansion for closure (a happy ending for the couple would be nice 
).
5) The core story missions (except for the final fight) are very well done. I don't know what to say except that it evokes emotions and really drew me into the Dragon Age world. There is more of a fantasy element (ancient temples, the fade, etc) to the missions than there were in DA II and that's a good thing.
6) The dragon fights are awesome.
7) The voice acting is generally very good and some cinematics scenes are really well done. I'm mostly talking about the Solas romance scenes. That little smirk during the first kiss. The look of his eyes in the last romance scene. It looks so real like a real person in love.
Can't think of any other major thing for now, but there are definitely other good parts of the game like oh yeah, the music is great!
Edit: I hope the developers see positive posts like this because most posts on the feedback forums are negative and this would get quickly pushed to the bottom. Oh well.
