If you're previewing a creature/NPC, and looking to see how different heads, hair, etc look, with every change the preview resets to looking at the boots because we all know it's all about the boots.

Is there any way to have a close up preview of heads while cycling through options and previewing, and not have the view angle reset with each change?

The most convenient way for me is to place an instance of the creature into an area, and make the changes on that instance, rather than using the preview.  After I'm satisfied, I can right-click on the creature and choose "make blueprint", which may have been added by either the PowerBar or the Usability Tools plugin.

Perfect, thank you.

So much better.

Another annoying part of the preview window in the Properties dialog, if you change a hair color, it resets all hair to grey! Have to close it and reopen it to see the change.

But if you just place the creature on a map as you say, all changes made refresh on the model instantly and correctly.

Another method (works for me, anyway) is, assuming you have pulled the preview pane to sit alongside the properties pane; If you get this glitch, go to the creature in your blueprints list and click on it. The preview should then update to the settings you made. Thats a quick and dirty way, depending how you display your panels.
