Do you actually need a PSN or Xbox Live subscription to use the Keep?
You seriously have to have Xbox live to customize your world?!

I don't see the problem, all you require should be an internet connection to export the DA Keep save to the console... You obviously have an internet connection on your computer, is it so difficult to get internet on your Xbox? As far as I know, all you need is an internet connection, no membership is required.
Instead of whining like a baby and threatening to leave (No one cares, in fact, most would be happy if people like you left. Which reminds me, why am I helping?)

My entire home network is wireless. It's just not feasible for me to run that much cable.
That makes sense. I live in a very new (and not very large) condominium. Very well set up for multiple wired connections in every room.

In which case you lose a core feature of Bioware's games, at least in the past 8 or so years, to impact the world across games to create your own unique character(s) and Thedas. Which is unacceptable.
How do you propose that the Xbox one be able to import 360 saves? or the PS4 import PS3 saves when they are completely incompatible hardware and softwares?

Why not buy a ethernet cable, it probably costs a dollar per meter or something and hook up if you really want to import your own choices.
To say that the game is ROflfoflfol, pathetic joke, because of the online keep is kind of immature. You can always return the game and get something else if it is too bothersome to connect your Xbox and you cant abide the though of playing through the game with default world state.
At this day and age I think it is unacceptable that you cant be bothered to connect your xbox to the internet to access an online feature and then complain about it on an online forum, Imo that is a ROflfoflfol pathetic joke.

People need to do a little research before dropping 60 or 70 bucks on a game.
I'm to the point where i wait till a game is released and I watch some lets play videos on youtube before I buy a game.
Except DAI which I got at a midnight opening at gamestop LOL

I'm not sure, but even requiring an internet connection is unacceptable for such a feature.
You mean you ignored the Notice on the packaging and other promotional material that said "Internet Connection Required".
Got it ![]()
No sympathy.

1. Blame Microsoft, not Bioware. This is the way they run their console, you have to pay them to use ANY your own internet. So if you have an issue with that, I'll direct you to here http://support.xbox....n-US/contact-us.
2. The keep requires an internet connection only for the import, after that you do not need to be connected at all. Otherwise, how do you propose getting the world state information from the internet to your game? The keep revolves around the internet, your game even requires a constant connection in order to feed them your decisions throughout DAI.
Your game does NOT require a constant connection. The decisions are imported when you start a new game and a connection is only required at that point.

I know, that's what I said in point #2. The constant connection I was referring to was if you wanted to upload data to the keep, not import a world state.

The italed strikes me as being the more serious issue. How many games have there been in the last few years that were borderline unplayable unpatched? Does the OP just put up with the release versions forever?
Well, that depends on your definition of unplayable. The answer to your question is "No", but the problem is the question itself. Very rarely have I found any vanilla game unplayable. Though I don't tend to buy games with out first seeing reviews or asking friends. Dragon Age and the previous Mass Effect games are pretty much the only ones I've ever bought sight unseen, and since I'm primarily a pc gamer to start with, I have zero issue with minimal online requirements.
If you really dislike the initial need for an internet connection on start up of a game you just bought, the more pressing question should probably be "Why am playing new games?" or maybe "Why aren't more people angry about it?" or possibly even "What can I personally do to solve the Pirating situation? What can I do to help these companies dumping millions of dollars into these games for me to enjoy so that they'll stop having to put required internet access into each one of them?"
Should game companies just never set a "Gold" date? Release them when they're ready rather then when they're very nearly ready and give us a couple free patches out of the gate to fix them? Or do you enjoy knowing when a game will launch so that you can plan accordingly? There are a lot of factors that go into making a video game other then just "Program the thing and then ship!" They're 10 times more complex to code then the games of ten years ago. They cost double, triple, what they used to cost to make. All while getting them out in a timely manner and also not WORKING THEIR CREATORS TO DEATH. Which is what a lot of gaming companies used to have to do. 5 programers working 20 hour days for a year with **** pay and no time off. A lot of them still operate that way.
Personally, I'd rather just patch my game.

I'd rather have an occasional choice bug, that no imports at all. But all of that is irrelevant because Dragon Age Keep, or some version of it, could've been included on the game.
And how do I get this customization onto my xbox when I have no ethernet cable plug-ins in my room and do not want to buy a wireless adapter for my xbox?
One: You have to understand that this feature was designed for the exact purpose of making sure everyone can play their world states.
Two: A very good point, but they didn't think of it. So chalk it up as a lesson learned, and let's see if they could fix it next time around.
Three: Upgrade, I can't stress this enough for you. Get a new Xbox, hook up to the internet, and just plug on like everybody else has to. An unfortunate and unfair reality, but reality none the less. If you want different advice, try a PC or the bottom of a bottle.

I'd rather have the Keep over something like the ME import comics any day.
