How do I get one of those in my relationship?  I want authority to override holiday locations and times, and when the mother-in-law visits.

EDIT: Sorry, that's a durable power of attorney, which was what I would be asking for.

 

Advanced directives are more like what decisions you made ahead of your time in case you're too ill or incapacitated to make decisions yourself.

Yah, me too. Been there and done that.

Well I mean I'm no Daddy Warbucks like Dobby. But in a couple of decades that Han Solo, Lando, And Bacta Tank Luke can bring in some good dough. 

 

A nice steak dinner or two. Heck maybe a down payment on a used car.
