I read some crappy article about the symbolism in the Labyrinth was Jen Connelly's character is going through puberty, and her baby bro represented her innocence that she resented, David Bowie was a symbol for men/sexuality (Dat outfit) and all the muppets were parts of her psyche...

Funny how stuff like that can go under our radar, huh??

I thought it was a metaphor for our ever increasing obsession of sexuality, and a commentary on androgynous mice with some really big hints of criticism on the Reagen administration with a slight socialist agenda.
