A wall needs repainted, and it took 2 weeks for it to wear off her body and face. The jumper is toast. It was one of those big thick black ones you use for parcel posting.I'm so sorry. Was the damage great?

Oh dayum.
I drew a panoramic of the entire event on the side of Big Ben with felt pens, just to rub it in even more.
This was my rough draft.

I have paint thinner. Lot of it. You can do things at 3 that you probably should not do by the time you are 5.I will be reminding you of this story next time my paint-covered window hinge comes up.

<<<< As you can see from my picture, I'm not even 3, yet.
You'll want to be keeping felt pens out of my reach, I suppose.

And much more. Most of them are quick learns though. Like never park the shopping cart next to the candy bars or always wipe hands before she escapes from the table. There are also times you will wonder how such a beautiful child can smell do terribly bad and never assume that just because you have changed her she is done especially if you are in public and it is the last nappy.I have this all to come, Corvus.
I have given up on trying to keep her from my hair and this year got a hair cut to equalize her abilities to grab things.
It looked very close to this when it was first cut.And if you have not got one yet, get a tablet. You will never keep up with what is going on around you if you don't, but get a cheep one because as soon as you look away for a minute she will be pounding on it.

Searching online for a late mothers day present for my mom's garden, I found out I like garden gnomes. Now I want a garden with little gnomes one day.

1. Not to leave anything within her reach as she'll spill it/tear it/eat it/break it. Every surface is kept as clear as possible.
2. She loves to hide my bank cards/bills etc under the rugs. The first time was a major nuisance, let me tell you. I spent hours hunting for it!
3. I can no longer wear earrings that dangle or a necklace as she'll instantly go for it and break it - or cause me serious harm.
4. As soon as she has the opportunity, she'll make a mad dash past the stair gate and up 10 steps before I've even noticed I'd left it open (that one is particularly frightening).
5. She'll do the most foul smelling turds just as I'm about to leave for nursery and we're already running late.
And very early on I realised that long hair simply wouldn't work with a baby and I chopped it all off into a bob. Totally regretted it though and can't wait for it to be back. Only another 6 months to go.

I just found myself nodding along to your entire post, Corvus. Every single lesson there I have already learnt and she's only one year old. I also learnt;
1. Not to leave anything within her reach as she'll spill it/tear it/eat it/break it. Every surface is kept as clear as possible.
2. She loves to hide my bank cards/bills etc under the rugs. The first time was a major nuisance, let me tell you. I spent hours hunting for it!

I know. I've always had long hair and now I look like a short Israeli soldier. Just as well, I tell myself, because it gets very hot here I the summer.
Her sister is almost 17 months and just so easy to care for. And Elisa is pretty caring back, but I am sure they conspire. When she gets up she really likes company; she stands at the crib until Lina wakes, so I get to get up too. Or if the middle of the night she grabs her other mothers hair or sticks her fingers in her face or noise and gets lifted in-between us. I am told this will change, but that it will be replaced by something more taxing and will continue until they are sent off to uni. My mother is really enjoying this.

There are so many glib things to say right now, but really they are a blessing when they are laying on you tummy for the first time. and you can't remember how much pain you were in for the last 12 hours and when you try to remember what you recall is a little human body who's arms kind of slow motion jerk a little and they are so dependent. Nature got that one right (for me).I thought kids were supposed to be a blessing....

Sigourney Weaver was terrifying in that!
Aliens are nature too though.
