I was just about to ask if you were talking about the Lynch film or the TV miniseries from 2000. It's been ages since I've seen either (and I've never seen all of the Lynch version), but I remember thinking that the miniseries just didn't have the budget for what it wanted to do. Even the brilliant Vittorio Storaro (cinematographer for Apocalypse Now, The Conformist, Last Tango in Paris, etc.) couldn't conceal the obvious fact that they were filming on some pretty cheap sound stages.

 

Also, my girlfriend is actually a big fan of the Police, but I'm not sure if she's ever that that kind of . . . appreciation for Sting.
