Honestly, sushi is nice but I just prefer the sashimi on it's own with some rice and something to dip it in rather than rolling it into something.

The sashimi (uncooked fish) is the best. Of course, I'm a straight up heathen, as I prefer the deep fried, mayonnaise lathered, Americanized-to-the-teeth sushi. It would make people in Japan cry at the molestation of their culture, but man... is it tasty.

I can actually manage some raw fish, it's just the eggs I can't handle.

It's food (sigh, looks down at waist, which is looking back at me smugly). I'm not a fan, but it's kinda okay. Where roe is concerned, I'm much the same if it's good enough to be sold as caviar, though I'm still not desperately enthusiastic; but cod roe is disgusting. My gf's father used to like it. I suspect he only liked it out of spite because it smelt so bad.

The best way to get the roe out is by using shooting the sturgeon with birdshot. Shotgun does it all at once. Pellet guns take forever...
