you know, your robot obsession is mildly disturbing ![]()
I'm bored, what's everyone up to?
Knitting this hat for another pregnant friend. I swear there's something in the water.

Edit: Preempting smart-ass comments, yes it's for the baby once it's born, not for the pregnant lady to wear.

And now also wondering what I could do with a robot army.
I swear there's something in the water.
gross
That's what I think about it too.

Shouldn´t be a problem in a few decades. At least that´s what they´ve been telling.
edit: never mind, i misread
This hurricane season has me a little on edge tbh. It has been 10 years since Katrina and according to historical records, once every 8-10 years we get a really bad hurricane. Last season we had none and so far this season we still have had zero. The two years before Katrina, it was quiet af. As much as I relish in low category hurricanes, I do not want another big one. Damn house was built in the 60s ffs.

I can only imagine how awful Katrina must have been for those it hit. Worst I've had in terms of hurricanes was sandy back in 2012. I remember sitting in the basement in the dark for 2 days just listening to the wind and rain. It was soooooo boring. My dad let me carry around a loaded handgun for those 2 days tho, which was pretty cool looking back. I don't think we were in any real danger(apart from dying of boredom) unlike with Katrina, so I count myself lucky in that.

You could always knit another hat with the White Totoro for the baby.

It was like a nuclear bomb had went off. Power lines were all down, even the giant KFC bucket was rolling in the middle of the road and pulling up in the drive way to a concrete slab as a house. I got extremely lucky with Katrina though, one road of my entire neighborhood didn't flood; my road. But the after damage isn't the bad part, the bad part is having no power or clean running water for 3+ weeks in the dead middle of August where it reaches between 97-104F (36-40C) with humidity in the 90s. More people died of heat exhaustion than the actual storm.
I love the sound of the wind and rain though! I drink to it lol. I also had a weapon with me for the weeks after Katrina, AK47 though. People were looting houses so it's not like we had much of a choice. Now, I did get bored when I wanted to game, but boy when the broom handle landed on the doorbell thus causing it to ring; I was literally jumping for joy. First thing I did was hook my game systems back up.
And Sandy should have came here, I would have had fun in it. It didn't let me love it. =(

That sucks, I dislike heat, heat with no ac sounds like hell, especially considering your further south then I am. It rarely hits 97F here, and definetly never as high as 104.
And yeah I heard the looting was very common for you guys. Luckily here there was none since we only lost power for two days(better safe then sorry though). Its pretty awesome that you have an ak though! Is the ammo very pricey for it?
And lol, yeah, wind and rain can be nice to listen to, so long as I have electricity.
Snow here is like finding a unicorn that poops bacon. *inb4 Recon likes this*

I love the heat but I detests the humidity, out the door for only 2 minutes and already need another shower. :|
And the only time we saw the national guard was when they were passing out MREs and water, other than that, people just did what they pleased. Put a sign up that said you loot we shoot, but luckily I didn't have to use it. A thousand rounds is about 200-250 dollars, definitely more pricey than your run of the mill weapon.
The best thing to do is play the piano while it's storming, mmm I love it. Like the Song of Storms! Just need a colossal squid with a top and monocle has my bartender.

That does seem pricey. We buy bulk 9mm for about 150, and sometimes the range has special deals for even cheaper. The most expensive cartridge I have ever fired was the civilian .308 with a hunting rifle. Not sure how much that costs exactly, I was young and have not hunted in a very long time. It gets to the point where you are shooting money, which adds up quickly, I wanna shoot for cheap but having an AK would still be awesome, I would just rarely take it to the range.
WAT. 7.62x39 is one of the cheapest rounds in the world. 250 / 1000 expensive? Try .308, 1000 rounds of good quality .308 will cost you 600-800 bucks easily, and thats a very common round. Heck, shotgun buckshot ammo and .223 is more expensive than 200 per 1000.
Its slightly different in the states I think. Your in Europe right?

9mm and buckshot ammo is what I normally get, most of my weapons I gave to my uncle last year. I don't care for them as much as I did when I was in the service and I won't be needing them anymore cause reasons. Still keep pistol handy though, my neighborhood is too rough not to have something.
When I was in the military, we shot an AT4. Twice wasn't enough is all I gotta say.
random thought - does that unicorn pi*s beer?

Down here there's a place that sells bulk buckshots for only 190-210 dollars and same with Ero, 9mm is about 150. 250 is expensive compared to those two, but I don't have the AK anymore.

I'm gonna need one then.
I'm gonna need one then.
i need two - so i can start breeding and selling them ![]()
Sh*t, I'll take a unicorn that p*sses beer, especially if it's the good stuff. Guiness or Yeungling.
Guinness is dope.

What gave it away?
There is only a slight difference, one must not forget the Euro is almost worth the same as the dollar now, so non-imported ammo costs about the same too. Or used to, since the Obamascare ammo has actually gotten more expensive and scarce in the US than here in EU.
Anyway, AK ammo should be pretty affordable, of course pistol ammo is a whole nother animal. It gets fun if you step it up a little bit, my 300 Winchester Magnum rifle would cost me about 2.5 bucks per shot if I didn't make my own ammo which cuts costs down to 1/3.
That being said, I love having enough ammo in my closet to last an apocalypse or two. ![]()
