Can't remember if I have posted this pic already. But to stay on topic, strict 220 lbs / 100kg strict standing shoulder presses because nothing beats picking up and lifting heavy stuff over your head.

Being able to do something few people can do feels great, you should try it sometimes, it might change your opinion.

Sex, bacon, ganja, all nice stuff for sure but easy to get and rather ordinary. Try lifting heavy stuff, that requires you to work very hard for many many years.

Thats because my post was aimed at people with some sanity left in their brains who would not instantly think of self mutilation.

Guess I forgot I was posting in the BSN.  :P

Not really, I'm 6'7 and I didn't have to work at all for it, and can still lift heavy things.

Now, for example, I just finished building one of the aforementioned fast cars. That took years of practice, AND it's an actual, useful talent. Lifting heavy things is for cavemen.

Excessive drinking ruins your health. Heavy lifting improves your health. Improving your health is as pointless as ruining it? WAT

Height has very little to do with strength. Also good luck with benching anywhere near 160+ kg or dead lifting 230+ kg without training, because that where heavy starts.

Good thing the body adjusts, because you know, that's the whole freaking purpose of weight lifting.

My god...

Go to an orthopedist and watch the patients. Most people there with their ruined spines and arthritis have never ever done any kind of sport. Maybe there is a connection.

Ironically correctly lifting 250kg doesn't ruin your back, sitting on your butt 24/7 and lifting heavy stuff with an unfit body ruins backs.

im perfectly fine with benching 100 and dead lifting 150, if i need to lift more ill use a forklift

True, but lifting is MUCH harder on your body than most other forms of exercise, and its often easier to hurt yourself.

 

Given, I prefer lifting to most forms of excercise (EFF JOGGING) but hey.

Height has a LOT to do with 'strength'. 

 

A short guy will need MUCH less raw power to do 10 reps of the same weight a tall guy would. He might have to move the weight 20-33% less, and that makes it a LOT easier. Given, he'll be weaker for lifting in the same range, but it'll be harder to show it.
