Strength enables you to move weight much quicker, and that weight is you. Strength makes you faster, it does not slow you down unless you approach unnatural roidhead bodybuilder level. Look how jacked the mixed martial arts fighters usually are. And they are lightning fast.
And guess what sprinters do, the fastest humans on earth - they do tons of strength training, and they're jacked too.

A few hours a week can make you feel great and look above average in the physique department. So lets not trash each others hobby's.

Lifting makes you tougher so you are less likely to get injured in a fight, lifting heavy stuff cracks and compresses the crystalline structures in your bones making them harder and tougher, your tendons become much bigger in diameter and thus in toughness, same with muscles, they are less likely to rip in a fight. Thats a reason why race car drivers also lift a lot, if they have an accident they can prevent injuries to a certain degree.Bruh I think our priorities are very different. Also lifting adds to technique, you know how to grab and lift heavy weights, that's very helpful when you have to lift somebody off their feet to throw them, especially heavy people.
Looks is secondary for me, If I wanted to look good I'd have to count calories and do bodybuilding, but what I do is mainly powerlifting, only the numbers on the plates lifted are of importance.
I agree with all that, but I care too much about my face to get into fights with random people, plus im just too laid back. If I need to ill just call the cops.
And yes, counting calories is not fun but its not hard either. I've been bulking since november of last year, its slow going.
