I've never fractured a major bone but a couple of years ago I had an accident on my bicycle, a car parked in the middle of a one-lane road right around a fast blind corner, I hit it with around 60 km/h, was thrown off the bike and into a concrete water ditch. I ended up 20 meters in front of the car, and the car had a big dent on the rear.
I only bruised my knee badly and had some cuts all over m body, couldn't bend it for a month.

I give lifting all the credit for keeping me in one piece, getting thrown into a concrete ditch with 60 km/h should have broken at least some bones.

That sounds bad, I'm sorry you had to go through that. I get where you're coming from. Exercise is good for the whole body.

TRUE STORY:

My brother once swung at me very hard and very awkwardly. I reached to block. My forearm hit his forearm, both about in the center.

His arm broke and mine did not.

I did almost the same thing once. Only tested my head against the asphalt. Woke up in the hospital. Didn´t break anything though.

Ouch, how much of your head did the asphalt keep?

Wasn't that bad, you should have seen me cursing and threatening the driver of that car. I was so close to dragging him out of the car to bend him into a pretzel.  :D

Nah buy I think what Ruggles said is spot on. Invest into what you are interested in. Be smart about it tho and work efficiently. I like to think if it by saying "if I'm not working on my blade now, someone else is and they could potentially be better." I hate not being better, it is terrible

Not a thing, didn´t even need stitches. Just had a large bump on my head and swollen neck muscles from right side. It seems I tried to hold my head from hitting the road. Maybe it was at least partially success?

I agree with Turing. You shouldn't care about what others think, do what makes you happy, cause if you're happy then that's what's important.

I haven't visited my sister in Wales for several years and now I finally decided to do it, so I'm gonna go visit her in a few days, damn it's gonna be good, I missed her!

Edit: I know it's not the same thing, but it's about making yourself happy once in a while too

Tony is officially giving Johnnie a run for her money as the resident BSN expert gear-head

Tony my n*gg*, we could both work on cars all day. Currently I am completely rebuilding my entire motor for my Camaro. Wait til this baby is complete.

And for the whole lift vs run or whatever. I prefer doing both. Currently I work out 6 days a week for 2 - 2 and half hours a day. Start off with some simple stretches, then start working out via various military workouts, push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, lunges, rowers, v-ups, the prone row, and pull ups. Then do some lifting. Curl 35lbs (15.8kg), bench 145 (65.7kg) and also do lunges with 35lb (15.8kg) weights. Then I run 3 miles in about 21-22 minutes. My muscles are mostly lean with some bulk.

I like to keep things balanced, don't really focus too much on one thing. Enjoy both cardio and weight training.

Like Ruggles stated for her, I also can be pretty lazy. Takes me forever to get out of bed and ofc hours of gaming. But I do my best to stay in shape and eat right. I mostly eat lots of meat and other proteins, f*ck ton of veggies, fruits and whole grains. Less processed sh*t, the better imo. The human body has not evolved from us eating straight from the earth's nutrition. I even started growing my own vegetables and getting back into fishing, crabbing and shrimping.

Hell yeah! What engine is that bad boy rocking? My Mustang's got the 351 Cleveland, and she runs like a sewing machine now that I've got her back on the road.

At least you guys have cars, still looking for one here. Shouldn't have let that 5 series go.

I'm no expert on F-bodies but it's probably an LT1, isn't it?
