My hours are stupid and I missed all the fun.

Also I suspect that when I get up at 5:30 I don't look like myself (I'm not entirely sure because I have no contacts in and I'm all sleepy eyed when I do manage to stab them in the direction of my eyeballs).  Did you know that my hair actually defies gravity first thing in the morning?  I'm clearly not a morning person.

My hair just sucks in general. It never looks good and I can never do anything with it but in the mornings after a long nights sleep, it cowlicks off in all kinds of crazy directions!

 

What's worse is that it will refuse to go down until I shower. I haven't gone a day without a shower or a damn good hat in as far back as I can remember.

My hair always misbehaves until I manage to get it under control with mousse and hairspray. It's even worse on the alternate days it gets to "enjoy" a good shampooing, conditioning and blow-drying. And contacts are such fun: or more to the point, my ability to include various items of detritus when I put them in, including but not limited to dust, bits of fluff, hair, hair products, gravel, chilli essence, etc etc
