You forget Calpernia. She's also the nightmare for any slavers in Tevinter.

She is the reason I changed to Pro Templar. Hmmm. I beginning to notice a weird pattern. Is it just me or are their more powerful female mages than male?

Good thing I always go Human Male Warrior.

Briala ruling from behind the throne with the unwavering support of the inquisition. Celene and Gaspard needed to face justice for the lives they sacrificed in their scheming. It is time for the worthless nobility of Orlais to eat some humble pie and what better hands to serve it than those of two elves (Briala and my inquisitor)?

I like Briala with Gaspard as puppet from a story point of view.

Celene and Briala getting back together is probably better, I just don't like it.

The Helm of the Inquisitor is an amazing helmet with an interesting history. Apparently the last Inquisitor, Amerdian was a great warrior, a Dragon hunter and best friends with the Emperor Kordillius Drakon. Good thing I am continuing the tradition.http://dragonage.wik..._the_Inquisitor

Celene+ Briala for me.

It makes me want to vomit in my mouth a bit but...erf.I think it turns out ok in the epilogue.

I can't let Celene die at the Ball , there's just no way.I can't even stand her and I think she's an awful person.

But if she dies , it means Corypheus can get an Empress killed in front of everyone.

Some Duchess already took his side , he doesn't need more ally.

Besides Gaspard is pathetic as hell (in TME Celene was the moron , now it's GAspard turn...) he bullied the Council of Herald (the guy who can choose who get that throne) they are all pissed off.

He brought mercenaries at a peace talk...dude you needed bards and such...

The only good move is trying to win the Inquisition side at first.

I also can't stand Briala.

After Halamshiral I needed to take a bath.

In terms of stability in Orlais reconciling Celene and Briala, executing Gaspard is the best. Pretty much everyone is happy.

Celene and Briala. To add to the reasons already mentioned, metagaming: the game designers always painstakingly add "the better choice". Bhelen as king, Zathrian sacrificing himself, OGB ritual with extra content, duel with the Arishok, supporting the mages, and so on, and so forth. In here, peacefully stopping the Duchess and saving Celene is The Obvious better option. And since Gaspard+Celene+Briala doesn't seem to work so well - Celene and Briala it is. Judging by TME, their love is not a fling - it's much like one of our most intense protagonist romances. So spar they might, but I believe they're not going to drift apart. Like Alistair and Anora, they will endure - only with more love. Though Alistair and Anora seem pretty much in tune by now.

Celene and Briala together with Gaspard executed. Celene is the political progressive and Briala ensures that she also helps improving the lives of the elves. I was very pleased with the outcome. Stable Orlais, elves get more rights, Briala is being raised to noble status, alliance with the inquisition, lovers are reunited...everyone is happy! Except Gaspard. But he's a reactionary war mongerer who started a civil war for no good reason, so he deserved it.

This is what I do now.

I've done a Gaspard puppet run and while I did like it, I worry what would happen to Briala if Gaspard bites it. I guess the Inquisition would have to find dirt on his successor in order to keep Briala as the shadow power. Eh, seems a bit risky.

My main Inquisitor is a hornless Qunari, but I can't even wear a helmet....

For me it is force them to work together they will destroy each other and empire and my inq will benefit from controlling them before they do.

With some luck i will do same to qunari and tevinter in next games and then everyone will fall except me.

Its true depending on the epilogue. In all endings regarding who rules Orlais there is always a hint of rebellion, unrest etc... If you reconcile Celene and Briala then everyone is happy and there is no such mention, not even a hint in epilogue. However Gaspard has to die, if you exile him the epilogue mentions he will most likely back.

My humble opinion would be forcing all three to work together and becoming de facto ruler of Orlais.

As the marker (when you are asked to choose) says that he will attack Ferelden again, I  never choose Gaspard.  I know I am supposed to be from elsewhere but in my heart, I am Ferelden to the bone and do not want my country to experience more death and suffering than it already has.

Perhaps my dwarf can ignore this metagaming and go for Gaspard.

The most "democratic" option (the 3 of them working together) is depicted as an alliance way too fragile, IMO.

Best outcome would be all three work together for the better of Orlais.

But out of all 3, I do like Gaspard. He seems like he knows exactly what needs to be done - only problem is it will screw over a lot of Elves.

Actually, that'd be the naïve outcome lol... Have 3 enemies work together? How long will that last? As for Gaspard, I want to end wars and restore order, not help warmongers obtain positions of power.

In my own personal opinion, reuniting Briala with Celene is the best solution.
Celene is undoubtedly the best ruler for Orlais; Unlike Gaspard who can only lead from the battlefield, Celene leads Orlais by strengthening its culture and education. If we take a look at history, the best ancient civilizations that we remember were the smart ones, like Greece. They're responsible in one way or another for so many things we have today... And those things aren't "Go to war to help your country."

Briala can be executed, but in doing so you leave the Elves out of Orlais. They deserve better treatment; If Briala and Celene renew their partnership, Orlais can continue to slowly change for the better. Without Briala, the elves will continue to suffer. For the good of Orlais and all its citizens (Including the elves) Celene and Briala is the best choice.

That one actually gets the worst epilogue, at least as far as the outcome for Orlais. It's a fragile alliance and once the threat of Corypheus is removed, the three resume plotting and scheming against one another. Orlais is more unstable, with the threat of war, rebellion, and chaos hanging over it.

The only upside to that ending is that potentially puts the Inquisition as the power behind the throne, as Celene needs it to keep on her the throne.

That ending is basically bad for Orlais, but good for the Inquisitor if you want to go the Chaos is a Ladder route.

Either Celene or Gaspard as sole ruler with their opposition eliminated seems to be the best outcome for Orlais.

Briala because she does what's best for her people. It's also nice to stick it to the racist and narcissistic Orlesian Empire.

Seriously, I do not think I have hated a fictional nation as much as I hate Orlais. Bioware has done a great job at showing how disgusting and unredeemable it really is.

Orlais would be better off with Gaspard as its leader. He despises the Game and genuinely wants to forcibly prevent it from influencing Orlais' politics. Neither Celene or Briala are bold or brave enough to do anything other than plot and scheme in the shadows. At least Gaspard takes a direct approach. It helps that he's prepared to act immediately.

I was tempted to go for Gaspard but he made some remark about settling accounts with Ferelden and I thought that extremely foolish so I went with Celene.

I'd like to imagine that my inquisitor and Gaspard went out Wyvern hunting after everything settled down.

I dislike all three choices. I will however support whoever wants to stop playing the game and whoever will enact a law to execute anyone who wears a mask.

It's the one where I never fight Florianne on Nightmare ever again. In fact, I was underleveled and undergeared, so after that little surprise, I reloaded and redid things. I blame myself for not gearing Dorian up properly, though he was loads more fun at the party than Vivienne. As for who gets the throne...I had Celene and Briala reconcile, partly because I was being a romantic, partly because I hope things can work out for the elves.

To be honest, I'm still having a hard time of understanding what's going on at the palace. Everyone there is so discreet and backstabbing.

Also I'd like an option to punch the chick in the gardens that called my elf inquisitor a rabbit. I don't care if my approval goes down, it'll be worth it.

So much this. Anyone else find it interesting that Bhelen supports Celene while Harrowmont supports Gaspard. Are the devs trying to tell us something?
