I do, but it is mostly because I hate the Orlesians more than Loghain ever did.
It is a sin that I was not able to launch an assault on that disgusting palace. F*ck the consequences; the Orlesians must bleed.

I was never loyal to Ferelden to begin with.
I'm I the only one sort of creeped out by those masks?
My favorite is the mask with a mustache painted on ![]()
No.
Gaspard wanting to wage war against Ferelden was one of the reason I made him emperor of Orlais.
I think for a human Inquisitor, some IC degree of positive feelings for Ferelden wouldn't be too strange. Ostwick's a port city north of Ferelden, ruled by nobles with Fereldan titles, so it wouldn't surprise me if there are cultural and trade ties, including with Amaranthine and Highever.
Right here. Dog Lord till I die!! I'm a fan of Tevinter and Rivain though.
I thought you were all for Gaspard conquering the Dog Lords.
Have no worries. It's prophesied that Alistair and Anora will sire a child with the blood of Calenhad and Mac Tir. Gareth Theirin I will be the Dragon Emperor that Ferelden has always needed. With the martial acumen of his grandfather Loghain and the blood of dragons inherited by Alistair, Emperor Gareth will do great things.
The Emperor Ferelden needs, but not the one it deserves.
Yeah. Fereldan was the first place we were shown in Thedas, yes their politics are convuluted as all heck- the Circle, elven alienages, the messy Landsmeet, but I get they're at least honest about that.
Orlais is a backstabbing nightmare. Antiva appears to be not much better, going by Zev. Tevinter/Par Vollen are going at it all the time, Free Marches are rather neutral it seems, places like Rivani, seem to far off yet
They're the simple, seemingly hard working people, it seems. The rough, down to Earth types that I love ![]()
Ah. sorry, minirant. But I'll put my weight in Fereldan over Orlais anytime
Actually, yeah. Whenever Ferelden is mentioned I just go like MY HOME. And I'm very patriotic in irl too so yeah, I feel it has to be protected ![]()
I'll always care about Ferelden.
Well, after being attacked by about ten million mabari hounds in the Hinterlands, I was starting to rethink my loyalties to Ferelden...but I do try to stick by King Alistair (hey, he's my HoF's hubby, so how could I not?) for the most part. Although I did keep Celene on the throne (with Briala), I helped Alistair out with the peace negotiations and whatnot - heh.

LOL never. Gaspard's cool, but **** Orlais and their Grand Game.
At the moment, none of them. But I feel like if Nevarra ever became a place of importance, I'd be loyal to that country .
When Greagor Cousland cures himself of the Calling, returns to take the throne alongside Anora, champions the rise of his non-OGB son Kieran as his successor and begins building a fleet to conquer the Free Marches...
Then yes, I will love Ferelden.
My 'canon' Inquisitor is a Male Cousland 'White Knight' type. My 'canon' Hawke is a snarky Anti-Mage Rogue (also she's dead, go Loghain!), and my 'canon' Inquisitor is turning out to be a loveable doofus from the Free Marches who has to play the Twenty Questions game about everything. He probably likes Ferelden more than Orlais, if only because Orlais is too complex for his head.
My preference will always be for Fereldan, but that does not mean I won't turn against it for the purposes of an interesting narrative. Why would I want to keep enjoying the same story over and over when there are so many others to witness?
Nope, I'm actually tired of Fereldan being shoved into everything. Bioware says Dragon Age is about the world of thedas and it's really hard to believe that when it everything important involves Fereldan. We barely see much of Orlais when majority of the big moments are in Fereldan or freaking empty deserts.
I actually wanted the main character in Inquisition to be Orlesian but we'll never get that because people think the stereotype French accent from DAO is what every French person actually sounds like.
Hopefully in DA4 we go up north to Tevinter and Fereldan can stay out for once.
I keep choosing Celene for the same metagame reason. I love Ferelden, the smell of wet dogs notwithstanding. If they didn't want me to love Ferelden, they should have given me another origin. After all, before I was a dwarf, I was a Ferelden noble and then a Ferelden elf. Besides, I fell in love with the future king of Ferelden. How could I not love that country?
Ferelden looks like a huge ghetto now days. No effort at all to rebuild damaged structures? What the hell has ''King'' alistair and the Arls been doing for 10 years? No wonder the Hero of Ferelden took off. I hate Orlais though. Once Neverra and Rivain is open im taking off and taking a giant ---- on the south.
Ferelden is my favorite kingdom and always will be , after all, it was he who introduced me to this world
