I care more for Orlais than Ferelden. I don't dislike Ferelden, but it's pretty stereotypical as far as fantasy settings go - I find the likes of Orlais and Antiva far more intriguing since they're both exotic and a bit more advanced. Thedas is very diverse so I don't feel obligated to fawn over Ferelden.
Does anyone else still feel some sense of loyalty to Ferelden?

Yes, Fereldan is unwashed backwater that smells like wet dog but it's mine unwashed backwater that smells like wet dog!
Although my Hero is Amell (hence from Free Marches) and Hawke has "dual citizenship" in Fereldan and Free Marches, Fereldan will always feel like home. It's not perfect but it still dear to my heart. (Free Marches follow, I just grew on them).

Strangely enough, I only started to care about Ferelden in DAI. In DAO it was just some generic fantasy country with no real face to me, but I liked what I saw here, costumes, decorations, etc. It made Ferelden feel a bit more distinct, and I must admit, I totally prefer it over Orlais now. As for the sense of loyalty... no, I never felt anything like that toward any country in Thedas, even though Free Marches did feel a bit more like home to me, probably because I really symphatized Hawke.

I identify with Ferelden more than any other place in Thedas (maybe because it's modelled after Britain? idk) so yeah. Ferelden is the best place in Thedas 8D
