Hello everyone,

 

I know this problem will sound absurd, but I cannot unlock the "Hissing Wastes" area in the game. I have explored and finished all the side quests of all the other areas (Val Royeau, Exalted Plains, Emerald Graves, Storm Coast, Hinterlands, Forbidden Oasis, Haven, Skyhold, Crestwood, Western Approach, Fallow Maire and Emprise de Lion), I have completed all the non-repeatable war table missions, and I'm ready to do "What Pride had Wrought" (which, I'm guessing, is the game's finale). Still no "Hissing Wastes" area on my map, unlocked or unlockable. If it didn't show in my quests list, I wouldn't know it even existed.

 

Have I missed a war table Mission or a Quest, that would unlock this area? I see no options pending, and I'm starting to panic.

 

Any ideas? Thank you in advance for your time!

It should available right after you get to Skyhold. It is unlocked like all the other zones by doing the initial war table scouting mission which costs 20 power. It is located in the Orlais section close to Western Approach and Forbidden Oasis.

I'm guessing it still needs to be unlocked on the war table. Its the one called "Venatori activity in the west" or something like that. It doesn't tell you in the title that that's the hissing wastes, tripped me up the first time too.
