DLC Prices A Little Too Steep

I just finished playing the full trilogy of Mass Effect and had a lot of fun!

But, like my complaint with the Dragon Age series, I felt like there wasn't enough talking and thus wanted to go buy and download DLC.

So, load up my interwebs and I go and find that the DLC people deem as "necessary to buy in order to make the game the best" are $15 and $10- very expensive in my opinion. I don't want to pay that much when I got all three games for less than the price of the Citadel DLC.

While I understand a lot of work goes into making games (and I appreciate the hard work Bioware has done by making these awesome games that I love playing over and over again) I just feel like they're charging too much.

I'm resorting to going to Youtube and watching people play the DLC. While I get to see what happens, which is cool, I'd prefer seeing my character in the DLC. I hope that the DLC for your current and future games won't be as expensive.

As long as games continue to generate hype during it's '15 minutes', and people are willing to spend money, overpriced DLC is unfortunate business practice that isn't going anywhere soon.

I recently read a thread where a gamer complained about spending $400 in microtransactions for Dragon Age multiplayer and not receiving many useful rare items in return.

Sometimes your best bet is waiting for a price drop once the hype for that particular game dies down. Fortunately, price drops seem to be an increasingly 'sooner than later' occurrence. Matter of fact, they just had a recent sale on all ME 3 DLC where I was able to grab The Citadel and Omega DLC for about $6 each instead of spending $30.

You must play on console. It was on sale on console in September but never on PC.

I play on PC. Just started playing them in December. I guess I'll keep an eye out, then, around the holidays. Thanks, guys. :)

No sorry I was replying to the other person who said they got them on sale. Must've been on console. If you want them cheaper, you could try doing the trick where you go to the origin store online through a proxy through a different country, the points are different prices depending on where you are. Uzbekistan prices on bioware points are almost half off what the united states prices are.
