I mean, maybe the Ele IS causing the glitch, but at this point it's just speculation, so why resort to the" Oh hai guys, I played a few games and noticed something, therefore it must be true. Time to disseminate my dissatisfaction on the Bioware forums and Burn the witch! " pun intended
Definitely not rocket science and NOT *mind-blowing*, as your gif sarcastically implies.
Here is a sample of veramis' Brief Introduction to Critical Thinking (sadly the least popular book in the world):
Many people have observed that the key bug occurs with higher frequency when elementalists are in the team, so much so that it has become common practice to avoid playing elementalist and kick them from the lobby. What's so humorous is that people like you are trying to insult our intelligence by claiming our observations are faulty or that our choice to base our decisions on our observations is faulty, when it is YOU who are being illogical by trying to simply dismiss the opinion of so many people because we didn't scientifically validate our observation.
Let me make it clear to you, neither have YOU scientifically validated your opinion. Simply observing that the key bug occurs without elementalist in the team does not disprove the observation that elementalists in the team tend to increase the frequency of the key bug. Regardless, empirical evidence does not need to be scientifically validated before it can be put into practice in a video game. We're not doing brain surgery where the consequences of practicing pragmatism over scientific certainty can result in death.
Many of the people reporting that they have observed higher frequency of key bug with elementalists in team have suggested that it is possibly due to the firestorm ability. What does the firestorm ability do? It knocks enemies around a lot. Are there other classes and other abilities that knock enemies around? Yes. If knocking enemies around MIGHT cause the key bug, then it follows that other classes might also cause the key bug. If other classes can cause the key bug, does that mean that elementalists do not tend to cause it at a higher frequency than the other classes? NO.
The inconvenience of not playing elementalist is minor enough and the inconvenience of the key bug is large enough that the majority of people aware of the possible connection are willing to avoid playing and playing with elementalist if it means a lower frequency of the key bug.
